One month after graduation, and I still can’t find the words to express my gratitude.

I truly did everything I hoped to do during my time at college, learned more than I ever expected, and met people who changed my life for the better.

Thank you, St. Ambrose

I’m also excited to share that I’ve officially accepted a position with Aerotek! I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes me! by @lorynheil

Two years ago around this time, I was told by doctors that I should start preparing for the possibility that I may never race again.

Even hearing that, I knew deep down this wasn’t how my story would end.

Getting diagnosed with severe Neurocardiogenic Syncope gave me answers, but it also brought one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever had to face. Learning how to manage it pushed me mentally and physically in ways I never expected.

Today, I’m proud to say I finished my collegiate running career at my fastest I’ve ever been and the healthiest I’ve ever felt.

I’m so grateful to St. Ambrose University and my coach @bethannejansen for giving me the opportunity to compete at this level and for never giving up on me, even when things were uncertain.

This sport tested me, shaped me, and gave me more than I could’ve ever imagined. From the highs to the moments I questioned everything, I wouldn’t trade any of it.

What once felt like the end became the beginning of my strongest chapter.

Thank you for 14 years XC and Track 🤍💙 by @lorynheil
