I’ve been on Pixel since the 7 series, and I feel like the 11 is probably the most complete Pixel they’ve made.

#gifted

The camera has always been my favourite thing about Pixel. I shoot professionally, so I notice colours, skin tones, highlights, all of that, and Pixel photos just look really good to me.

The 11 takes that camera experience further. Better zoom, better video, better low-light. These are upgrades I’ll actually use.

Video is a big one for me. Pixel was already great for photos, but the 11 feels like a much more serious video camera too.

The new AI features are also getting genuinely useful. Magic Capture is probably my favourite because I can shoot a video and still get the photos I wanted without stopping the moment.

And Google is very good at those small things. You’ll find some random feature, use it twice, and suddenly wonder why every phone doesn’t do it.

I also just really enjoy the Pixel version of Android. It’s clean, quick and everything feels very Google.

I’ve used the 7, 8, 9 and 10 series, and the 11 is easily the one I’ve been most excited about in a while.

For someone like me who shoots a LOT on their phone, this is very close to what I want a creator phone to be. taken in Delhi, India by @lost.and.hungry

We flew across the world for this one and it was worth every hour of that flight.

Natasha and I were in Auckland on June 30 for the very first Michelin Guide ceremony ever held in New Zealand. Not just New Zealand, actually. This was Michelin’s first time in all of Oceania. 126 years of the guide, and this was the furthest it has ever travelled. We got to be in the room when history was made.

The big moment: Essence in Queenstown, led by chef Paul Froggatt, became Oceania’s first ever two star restaurant. 14 restaurants took home one star. Auckland led with five, and the one that got the loudest cheer was Tala, now the only Samoan restaurant in the world with a Michelin star. Chef Henry Onesemo’s speech had the whole room emotional. Wellington’s Logan Brown and Ortega Fish Shack, Christchurch’s Inati, all so deserving. 35 Bib Gourmands and 110 restaurants in the guide overall. For a country this small, that’s a big statement.

But here’s what stayed with us. Kiwi hospitality has a word for itself: manaakitanga. It means warmth, kindness, generosity. And you feel it everywhere. This is a country where you can hike a trail in the morning, camp under the stars, and then sit down for a world class tasting menu at night. Luxury and wilderness live side by side here. The produce is honest, the chefs are humble, and the people genuinely want to feed you well.

Natasha: “I was the only Indian chef and content creator in that room, and I felt so proud to be there. This is exactly the kind of hospitality I strive for. Food that comes from the land, served with real warmth. New Zealand is now officially on my list of places I’ll tell everyone to travel to for food.”

We came as guests. We’re leaving as cheerleaders.
