Unsere Ausstellung Blue Link ist noch bis Sonntag den 11. Oktober geöffnet!

Vom 1. bis 11. Oktober zeigen Antonia Oster, Charlotte Pohle, Alix Brodeur und Alejandro Peña Chipatecua Arbeiten im @machwerkhaus.koeln . Wir haben gemeinsam am Institut für Künstlerische Keramik und Glas der Hochschule Koblenz studiert und nehmen nach unserer Zeit in Höhr-Grenzhausen unseren gemeinsamen „Link“ wieder auf. Die Ausstellung ist Anlass, die jeweils eigene künstlerische Entwicklung seither zu reflektieren und miteinander in Beziehung zu setzen.

Our exhibition “Blue Link” is open through Sunday, October 11!

From October 1 through 11, Antonia Oster, Charlotte Pohle, Alix Brodeur, and Alejandro Peña Chipatecua will be exhibiting their work at the @machwerkhaus.koeln . We studied together at the Institute for Ceramics and Glass at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, and after our time in Höhr-Grenzhausen, we’re reconnecting. The exhibition is an opportunity to reflect on our individual artistic developments since then and to explore how they relate to one another.

Alejandro Peña Chipatecua richtet den Blick auf die Kulturlandschaft – auf Strukturen, die allgegenwärtig und dennoch übersehen sind, monumental und dennoch selbstverständlich, vertraut und fremd zugleich. Seine Abschlussarbeit geht von Momenten gesteigerter Aufmerksamkeit aus, die er über Monate aufgezeichnet hat. Mit Keramik, Weidenruten und weiteren Materialien schafft er einen Raum, in dem diese Ambivalenz körperlich erfahrbar wird.

Alejandro Peña Chipatecua turns his gaze to the cultural landscape – to structures that are omnipresent yet overlooked, monumental yet taken for granted, familiar and strange at once. His graduation work grows out of moments of heightened attention, recorded over several months. With ceramics, willow rods and other materials, he creates a space in which this ambivalence becomes physically tangible.
