🎧Presenting this week’s Weekend Trio, with picks courtesy of Lost Future Records.

1️⃣ “Sun Eater” - Prompts:
I can’t even imagine a heavier, more chaotic band than Prompts. When it feels like the song is about to completely fall apart into noise, they somehow drag it back and deliver something awesome. What a wild band. Follow @promptsofficial

2️⃣ “Simulation” - Maquina:
Just gonna keep pumping this band because I love ‘em so much. I couldn’t be more excited for their new album coming out soon. Follow @maquiiinaria

3️⃣ “Bench Warrant” - Street Sects:
Another amazing post-hardcore band making crazy unclassifiable stuff. First heard of this band when they worked with HEALTH and now I am fully a fan. Follow @streetsects

Hear the songs on our Weekend Trio Playlist on Spotify (link in bio), and let us know what you think!

Who doesn't love a nice rowdy outdoor festival?
We know we do. 😎

TOMORROW, Saturday, August 29th, we trek up to Alcova, Wyoming to play Metalfest 2026, and share the stage with some incredible bands.
@violent_testimony, @repent_wy, Advise Against against, @imprisonmentofficial, @miscreantwy, Carp King, @corpsemedicinex, and @witchmother999 will be tearing things up before we close out the night, so come early, stay late, snag some merch, support these bands, and see what shenanigans we have in store.

I've heard rumors of a kissing booth even. 👀

Some of our members started out opening for this festival, and now to be headlining is a true blessing.

Wyoming friends, come say hi and give us a hugs.
Wyoming enemies, come say hi too. But say it in like, a Dracula voice so we know. And then we'll spray you with water and say, "NYEH!"

Anyway, we'll see you tomorrow. 😎

Almost 15 years ago, my band "The Mayflower Crash Site" played battle of the bands, at Metalfest in alcova. If I remember correctly, we were told we won, but so was another band. That band just so happened to be one @colton.krohn was the guitarist of.

Now, fast forward a decade and a half..

TOMORROW, the two of us are in the HEADLINING BAND for this years Metalfest.

Super fucking grateful to be able to keep making music all these years, and the wyoming chapter of it all truly feels like it's come full circle. From opening up this festival to headlining, pretty neat.

I also want to give a huge shout out to my mom for being my biggest supporter in me playing music for over two decades now. Thank you for letting me annoy you with all the weird noises I make on guitar, especially with your office right next to my room, and for all the faith you have in me and my friends.

And thank you to anyone that's been here with me since I first started playing live. One person that sticks out to me is Dana Grapes, always just down to throw down and support the homies.

Anyway, sappy long post is long and sappy. If you read this far, thank you.

MetalFest 2026, here we come.

Drink your water.

The Other.

Some days are easier than others.

Some days, you get out of bed and head out the door like nothing can stop you.

Other days, there is a lurking, nearly overwhelming feeling of defeat. A feeling of self hatred, anger, depression, loss, and agony packed into a dark, looming fog that can envelop ANYTHING in a single moment.

Sometimes, we can communicate with these parts of ourselves. We can personify and tell our anxieties "thank you" for being there to protect us and keeping us safe.
We can tell our stressed selves that things will get better and stay that way. That there is truly a safe path to follow.

But on the days when things feel impossible, the days when you are ready to call it quits, the world seems darker, and you can't rid yourself of the "my friends are better off without me" thoughts and feelings:

That is what we call "The Other."

The Other is one of my greatest obstacles in life.
I can't speak with it, I can't calm it down, I can't make it go away.

But I can feed it. And if i feed it, if I let it consume me, it ruins everything. And at that point, all I can do it give myself to it.

Please know you are never alone in this world.
