We’re finally doing it 🙌🏻 Living our dream of renting a camper van through the Dolomites. 🏔️

We’ve been putting off this trip for so long. 🕰️ We were considering a little getaway, but we thought, why take time and money away from the things we actually want to do?

We also put it off because it took soooo much planning. 📋 You need to consider things like where to park? Can you reserve? What to see? When to see it? 🅿️

But, it’s never been so rewarding. 🏆 we’re currently in The Dolomites now and we’ve never been happier. There’s something special about being surrounded by nature. ⛰️

Moral of the story? Do the things you want to do now, because you might not be able to in the future. Have that bottle of wine, burn that candle, book that trip! ✈️

We couldn’t escape the smells 💩

FYI we stopped at least 5 times throughout the run!

We made sure to go to an ethical company who truly cares and takes care of their huskies ❤️ Bearhill’s Huskies are truly loved and taken care of. All the dogs want to do is run! It’s sooo much fun for them! Husky sledding is not unethical, it’s literally in their genes and nothing makes them happier than running!

As you can see there are no whips and the dogs are pulling by choice, wagging tails show they are happy.

We did stop plenty of times so the dogs did get a rest however… they weren’t too happy with us when we hit the brakes. All they want to do is run!

Remember these dogs are bred and trained for races. They get plenty of exercise done and remember during a race they can’t stop to go 💩 so it’s pretty normal for them to do it whilst on a run! It is not harmful to the animal. Also remember this is an edited video, we have cropped it so it’s shorter in length. In reality, this content was filmed over a much longer time, just seems more exaggerated when shorter.

Please bare this in mind when watching this video. It was only made for a funny moment because we didn’t expect to experience this on our magical ride, it was like insta vs reality moment. We have undertaken a lot of research before knowing this activity is ethical and we would never have done it if it was cruel. we advise you to do the same and research 🔬

Want Lago di Braies almost entirely to yourself? 🌄🛶

The secret is simple… go EARLY.

We arrived before 7:30am and for a little while it felt like we had one of the most photographed lakes in the Dolomites all to ourselves. Calm water, hardly anyone around and those iconic wooden boats still perfectly lined up at the boathouse. 🤍

During peak summer, the first boats head out at 9:00am, so arriving before then is your best chance of seeing the lake before it gets busy. The opening time does change throughout the season though, so always check before you visit.

Our tip: aim for 7:00–7:30am, enjoy the lake while it’s peaceful, get your photos before the boats start going out, then be one of the first in line if you want to rent one. 🛶✨

Rating Pastel de Natas in Lisbon!

Here’s the advice we wish we had before going 👇

🗺️ Have a plan + backup
Most places can’t be booked in advance and fill up quickly — always have at least one alternative nearby

⏰ Move early
If you leave it too late, you risk everything being full (this happened to us 😅)

🗺️ Driving takes longer than you think
Mountain roads = slower speeds → always add extra time to your journey

📱 Use Park4Night
Helps you find parking spots + campsites easily (we used it every day)

🍝 Food is easy
Supermarkets everywhere for quick meals
• loads of refugios and restaurants when you don’t want to cook

🚐 Driving isn’t as scary as it seems
Roads are wide, well maintained, and everyone else is doing the same thing
