🐞Sarah’s visit🍀

I don’t know how to describe how much I have enjoyed the last few days having Sarah here; it has been so much fun. There was no awkwardness between us, not that I thought there would be, but meeting face-to-face compared to speaking via messages or voice notes on here is an entirely different kettle of fish.

We didn’t stop talking from when she stepped inside my house (Sunday afternoon) to when she left for her Airbnb last night (she went on the train very early this morning for her flight back to America today, which she is on right now).

We didn’t just talk about books (but that part was SO much fun); we also talked about everything under the sun and laughed.

She reorganised my books on my bookshelves, which desperately needed it! They look so good, but I told her she needs to come back when I get new books as I don’t want to ruin her masterpiece.

We also had tattoos done to show our love for two of our favourite books: Devil of Dublin by BB Easton and No Tomorrow by Carian Cole. I love that we have matching ones; they are so cute. (We will add extra bits to them for other books we love, but in our own countries.)

It was so nice to be in her presence. She is as lovely as I knew she would be, and I’m beyond grateful that she came all this way to see me for a few days after volunteering at RARE London.

Thank you, Sarah, I’m so grateful to have a friend as lovely as you in my life.

Miss you already! (So does Mabel!)

Love, Yvette x

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒔 𝑾𝒆 𝑩𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅🔥 𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖‼️

😳Did my jaw drop on the floor? It sure did. So many parts I was like wtf. The secrets and surprises just kept coming.
❓Was I questioning everything? Yup!
😭Did I bawl my eyes out? 1000%. To be fair I am a cryer and super emotional, but the grief moments and the best friend moments put me all up in my feels.
😂Did it make me laugh? Of course it did. Wouldn’t be a Cedar James book without her banter. This is by no means a romcom, but she found the perfect moments to add that banter and it really gave insight to that particular friendship. It really was something to behold.
