In a tag from @appalachian_custom here are some of my more useful items I’ve been carrying this summer.
I literally have an apple in my pocket for the first part of the day before I eat it.
The bandana saves my hat from getting to soiled as I wipe my brow constantly and sometime use it as a shade of various types, a wet wrap to cool down and a bug shooer.
If you’re out in the wilderness a lot doing wilderness things or in bear country etc earplugs are nice and not something I see others carry.
A natural bug salve is a must!
If I’m lazy or just on a short exploration hike I’ll just hook the water bottle to my belt.
something I forgot to add here was my big lighter and the exotac protective sheath on my keychain and the fact that I often keep a backpack around with me full of gear.
