Perfect days, countless marine life, one unforgettable trip . 🌊

Thank you, Jason, for sharing your Blue Lotus charter with us—from first dive to final sunset, you captured Komodo exactly as we love it.

The Cauldron is easily one of my favorite dive sites! 🌊

While it’s famous for The Shotgun—where the current really picks up—there is so much more to this underwater paradise than just the rush.

What makes it truly special is the incredible variety of landscapes packed into a single dive:
🪸 Vibrant Coral Gardens: Home to thousands of energetic damselfish.
🦈 Sandy Bottoms: Stretched white sand where you can spot hundreds of garden eels, stingrays, and sharks resting.
🐙 Rocky Formations: The perfect hideout for curious octopuses.
🌋 The Cauldron: Impressive, towering walls that take your breath away.
🌊 The Drift: Full of big pelagic surprises like mantas, devil rays, and barracudas.
🐢 The Finale: Ending in a stunning shallow reef with massive table corals, pulsing Xenia gardens, swarms of reef fish, and resident sea turtles.

A good reminder to keep an eye on the reef between the big sightings. 🪸

Some great macro finds from Komodo, photographed by our guest @yannick.bouvier.

What’s your favorite thing to look for on a macro dive?

For the duration of your trip, Blue Lotus becomes home base in Komodo—a place to eat, sleep, swap dive stories and watch the islands pass by between dives.

Not a bad way to get around.

All eyes on a healthy ocean this #WorldOceanDay 🌊 Komodo's reefs are some of the most alive on Earth—and we're committed to keeping them that way. As Komodo's first @paditv Eco Center and a @green_fins Silver dive operation and active member of @dock.komodo, we run plastic -free, reef-safe, low-impact trips because the ocean we dive in is the ocean we're responsible for. Small groups, light footprint, big respect. 🌊🐠🪸
