AND, many other countries might have these superstition as well! I’m not saying this is just from Vietnam BUT these superstitions are a part of Vietnamese culture, and a majority of the population believe in this.

Sweeping or cleaning on the first day of New Years means sweeping away good luck and wealth for the entire year. Tết sets the energy for the next 12 months. Any cleaning is done before midnight on New Year’s Eve. If needed on Tết, it is done inward toward the center of the home to keep the luck inside.

Getting a haircut right before an important test or job interview trims away the knowledge stored in your head. In folk belief, hair is deeply connected to your head, memory, and vital energy. Cutting it right before a major event is seen as disturbing your mental preparation or literally “cutting away” your study efforts.

Saying translation: Three people travel the same path; one meets with misfortune.

Taking a photo with exactly three people brings bad luck or illness to the person standing in the middle. The number three carries unlucky connotations in certain traditional sayings (Ba người đi cùng đường, một người gặp họa). In a three-person layout, the middle person is flanked from both sides, which symbolically resembles a funeral altar structure.

Pointing your finger directly at the moon will cause a small, painful cut to appear behind your ear overnight. The moon is revered in folklore as a sacred celestial body (associated with the Moon Goddess, Hằng Nga). Pointing directly at it is considered disrespectful, and the cut behind the ear is a mild spiritual punishment for bad manners.

Cutting, pruning, or picking leaves from trees and plants after dark disturbs the resting spirits and brings bad luck. Large trees and dense plants are believed to be natural resting places or shelters for roaming spirits. Pruning or hurting plants at night disturbs by @lotusdiarys

Made this because I got really bored and missed editing! Tried to make it like a magazine cover. The yellow and blue font and detail choices were inspired by my trip to IKEA the day before making this edit LMAO

Don’t remember when I made this post but definitely before the release of the album. Wanted to try making the game loading screen thing but failed miserably 😭 I was also experimenting with fonts I don’t really use as much either!

This initially was an edit for IYF but somehow it ended up IOMT. I was experimenting with layering and textures for this post!

inspired by the one and only @lovesitegfx!!! I was trying to edit with feel my rhythm photos but changed to this one after trying blue lagoon for the first time.

Inspired by seilcouth on Pinterest! Made this before March 10th 🥲

A whole bunch of experimenting for this one. Made this whole post for another group/song but then motion got released so I used it for this edit instead. by @lotusdiarys
