That’s the line printed in the booklet for this pair, and it’s stuck with me more than most things I read about a shoe.

Introducing: @bleueburnham × @newbalance 991v1 “The Flimby Garden.”

This is New Balance’s MiUK factory in Cumbria working with jewellery designer @bleueburnham, inspired by “The Flimby Garden.” The colours read like soil and moss rather than a mood board, and the more I look at it the more it feels like a piece of land translated into a shoe.

The suede is some of the best I’ve seen on a pair. Only 240 made. I still don’t quite believe one of them is mine.

Can’t wait for the 2nd iteration 🍃

I know, I know—you’ve probably scrolled past this pair like 5 times already this last couple of days. But here we are again. @jjjjound x @newbalance 740.

That classic mushroom tone? Instant eye-catcher. This’ll be my second 740, and I’ll be honest - the comfort and lightweight build just hit different.

And Jjjjound? They did exactly what they do best—took this silhouette and gave it that signature Jjjjound-ified touch. You either love it or roll your eyes at it, but you can’t deny it’s a clean colourway through and through. Definitely a fan favourite, and honestly? Glad they gave this one a proper wide release.

Now bring on the 990v4 already; who else is counting down?
