Hey mom! It’s been two years since we’ve spoke and since I was told at the hospital you were passing so I wanted to give you an update! I passed that exam to become an official licensed mental health therapist! I’m going to open up my own practice in June and I’m currently applying for jobs to teach as well so I’m looking forward to that :) I have been working a ton and trying to keep busy but to be honest Ma, I still feel empty without you. I would still give anything to talk to you for one minute again but I know that isn’t possible and I keep pushing to be a better version of myself everyday. You weren’t perfect but you were the perfect mom for me and if I ever become a dad I wish to be a 1/10th of the caring, loving parent you were. Until we meet again Mom, I love you now and always. by @loufreakind

Hey mom! So it’s been a year since you’ve been gone and as I’m laying in bed thinking how the hell is it possible I haven’t spoken to you in a year, I just want to give you a recap on how life has been. 1) I graduated with my masters which you inspired me to go back and I walked with your picture on my chest so you were with me the whole time (Thanks Michelle :)) 2) I’m currently studying for my final exam that I’ll have to take to officially become a therapist and work has been great. I love what I do and that is thanks to you, so thanks Ma. 3) There is not a single day that goes by that I do not think about you and how much I miss you. I know life was so tough for you the last few years but I’d give anything to just talk to you 1 on 1 again even if it was for a minute. I dream about you a lot and sometimes they are good and bad dreams ya know? I’m thankful when I see the healthier younger you like when I was a kid and I get mad when I see you sick because that’s not how I want to remember you. I’m just glad you’re not in pain anymore but fuck I miss you so much. I’ve lied to myself and said this would get easier with time but it does not at all. You were the best and thank you again for everything you’ve done for me. I know I might not be married or have kids yet but I love the person that I am today and that’s because of you Ma. Rest easy and I just hope I’m making you proud while you’re up there.

(Btw I know her grave says the 27th, it’s cause she was an organ donor and they had to keep her alive but she officially passed on the 26th. The doctors saved and donated her kidney and her liver that went to people who needed it so good job Ma! You saved a few lives after you lost yours) by @loufreakind

My yearly post goes out to my mom who passed away over 3 weeks ago. To the best woman, the best mother, and my best friend. The woman who taught me to be kind, to be loyal and be proud of the person I am today. I promise to focus on these next few months of school so I can graduate and make you proud. I miss and love you Mom. by @loufreakind
