2025 reminded me exactly why I coach: to help riders perform, not to feed social media algorithms.

Ten years of coaching, results across multiple countries and disciplines, and one clear priority - developing elite athletes who want to race harder, smarter, and with purpose.

If you’re serious about improving and want a coach who invests where it counts, my messages are open.

Ilkley GP - Toby Barnes - 1st.

Toby launched a solo move with over half the race remaining and never looked back, putting more than 40 seconds into the chasers.

Ilkley has always been the crit I’ve respected the most, brutally hard, unforgiving, and a course that truly rewards the strongest riders, so the win here feels special.

Ben also delivered a quality ride of his own, racing aggressively throughout and finishing 8th.

Great to see both present and former LPC riders shining too with five riders in the top ten of the UKs hardest crit.

Cyclocross season might be six months away, but the riders who make real progress are already building their plan.

From national champions to GB representation, I know what it takes to deliver a standout season: Focused training blocks, CX‑specific structure, and consistency that compounds over time.

If you’re ready to step up, I’ve opened two coaching spaces for riders who want to commit early and build something properly.

DM “CYCLOCROSS” to start the conversation.

This weekend saw Toby take his first, and LPC’s second, Coup de France podium, finishing 2nd at Tour des 4B.

A late attack on the peloton, Toby was able to ride into 2nd place, falling just short of catching the lone break rider infront.

A positive start to the season as he begins his 2nd year in France.

Ben delivered one of the standout rides of his Senior career to take the National Points Race title this weekend.

An oppportunistic, intelligent, and gutsy race all the way to the finish, Ben took the victory against Britain’s best track riders.

That makes our third Elite National Champion in two years, across three different disciplines. Proof that long‑term development pays off, and our riders reach their peak when it matters most.

Essor Basque - 2026

The now traditional start of the French season saw both Ben and Cedric compete over two weekends of racing.

Strongest start to the season for both of the lads - Ben taking away a 2nd and a 3rd place finish, whilst Cedric took 8th at his best.

The road season has now begun.

Another National Champs weekend delivered, two more Elite podiums, making it five in two years with four different riders. Depth, consistency, and big‑day execution.

Xan fought hard to defend her jersey, pushing all the way to a brilliant silver against a flying Anna Flynn.

Alderney carved through the field in classic style to take 4th, that final step getting closer.

Toby produced the ride of his CX career, going toe‑to‑toe with the reigning champ and earning his first Elite medal with a fearless performance.

This year wasn’t about numbers on the start list, it was about making sure every rider could perform when it mattered most.

It’s Nationals week!

Last year was a very special edition of the National Cyclocross Championships, with our first Senior title thanks to Xan Crees, and then a further 2 Senior medals in the Men’s race.

This Sunday, we aim to do it all over again.

November and December were all about cyclocross.

Xan’s call-up to the European Championships was the standout moment of the period, her first Senior GB representation, and she delivered with a superb top‑20 finish. She backed it up with a televised top‑10, rounding out a consistently strong season.

Back in the UK, the team added multiple podiums in the National Trophy Series, along with a regional title to cap off a successful winter campaign.

September and October marked the overlap between the closing weeks of the road season and the return of Cyclocross.

Jenson was the standout rider of this period, delivering three major victories: his first UCI win, a National Championship title, and a record‑breaking ride at the iconic 3 Peaks Cyclocross Challenge. It was the perfect way to round off his debut year as a professional.

On the road, Ben lined up at the Tour of Britain in Great Britain colours, an honour in itself, and added to it by earning a day in the KOM jersey after scoring points in the previous day’s breakaway. Meanwhile, Cedric, Matt, and Toby closed out their seasons with strong performances in France.

Cyclocross kicked off with the Hope Rounds in September before the National Series began in October. After a steady start, the riders returned to the podium with multiple National Trophy podiums, and Xan claimed her first win of the season in Sweden — her third podium of that trip.

July and August brought not only good weather but another wave of strong results, with our riders securing 12 podiums and 6 victories.

On the continent, Cedric claimed his first win in July before adding three more in August, including his maiden Elite Nationale. Ben delivered consistent racing to take 5th on GC at another Elite Nationale, while Toby impressed with 7th on GC at Estivalle, one of France’s premier stage races. Matt also earned his first podium of the year at Remparts.

Back in the UK, our riders tackled the National Circuit Series and two rounds of the National Road Series. Isabel opened her account with a Mallory Park league win, followed by two top‑20 finishes in her first National A road races. Our cyclocross riders briefly switched focus to crits, with Xan taking two top‑10s and the ever‑reliable Dan adding more top‑10s in the Crit Series.

Dan also lined up at the National MTB XC Championships alongside Harry, with both riders finishing 8th in their respective categories.

On the gravel, Jenson took his maiden victory with a prologue win in Austria as he built towards bigger targets in September.
