Today was a good day … I got to go on a Stained Glass course … meet Squid The Kraken .. my new octopus friend 🐙🤣.. so this is actually painting directly on the glass with special paint and a paint brush made from badger fur (not even joking) and then firing it in the kiln and then adding another layer of paint working with that again and firing that in the kiln .. the technique used is the same technique as was originally created whenever Stainglass was created which is more than 1000 years ago I believe, if I was listening to my teacher properly ! but I may have misunderstood and if I did, I apologise 🤔🤣.. there are 3 different kinds of paint you can use and to mix the paint you have to add sugar or milk or you can add vinegar and then depending on which one you add, you’ll get a different effect!!.. so we added sugar which makes the paint thick and silky. It basically looks like chocolate sauce .. the entire day was amazing and I have loved every minute .. can’t wait to see the final fired piece .. thank u to my wonderful teachers Spanna @annastainedglass and Hanna both so kind and knowledgable and talented

Been given the fun task of painting these cows🤣💜 I decided to name them Mooria and Camoola .. after much sanding and prepping I spray paint them.. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was also pleasantly surprised that I still had some skills with the can .. No drips .. very important I believe .. so yes .. here they are .. I think the farmer was pleased as he has suggested he may bring me some more 🤣🙏🏽💜

So sad to hear that David Jude Jolicoeur, known widely as Trugoy the Dove and one of the founding members of the US hip-hop trio De La Soul, has died. He was only 54 😳 i feel gutted!…they gave us so many good times and brought such a lot of joy to us right here in Brighton UK ! gonna miss the by annual or whatever they did gigs .. their presence always pulling us together with guaranteed good night .. RIP to a marvellous artist and a beautiful soul 💜🙏🏽🦄 ps did u see 54 adds up to 9 which is 3x3 and wasn’t that the magic number 😉😳🦄 just saying 😂

‘The Snake That Lies Within’

Here she is…finally the ode to my reptilian brain 😂 this is the story … In 2015 I had (as some know) a series of unfortunate events that left me with complex trauma CPTSD and messed up legs (that’s another story).. in 2017 I was probably at my worst and when I went to the psychiatric hospital they explained to me that it was my ‘reptilian brain’ that was in overdrive and that I needed to find ways to soothe myself…that this would help that part of my brain settle😳 so… amongst other things I decided to make an art to help calm my brain and show that little reptile in the back of my head that I loved her and that I/she/we were safe .. so.. a resting snack was what I came up with and the colours were because the Trauma Therapist I was working with at the time had a turquoise pen and a purple phone cover ! .. Little did I know that it would literally take me so long to complete… it’s kind of ironic because when I started it I said ‘when I finish this I’ll be better’… I didn’t realise it would take five years !…but hey! I am now so much better living a peaceful quiet life…I look at this piece of art and I think wow ! It kinda worked and then I think please stay asleep 😂🙏🏽 I absolutely couldn’t have done this artwork without the help of my wonderful teacher Spanna @annastainedglass.. She is not only an amazing and kind person but also the most incredible artist with a huge passion for her students 💜🙏🏽 … She has literally supported and nurtured me through this entire process…if it wasn’t for going to her classes and her belief in my ability to not only make a piece of art but also to complete it I doubt I would have succeeded at it as I have .. so thank you Spanna and thank you me for getting through it .. I love her 🐍💜
