I went for a cringy solo hike in the Peaks! 🤎🥾✨ Read the cringiness below ⬇️ I’ve always been a girl who just loves taking pictures! 📸 I find for myself, it’s such a creative outlet, by finding the right angle, the right light and those little details that make a photo feel perfect & special. So of course, I took my tripod with me to capture some content for the memory book & my Instagram - because I was alone & who else was going to take my photos? Well, not that alone, but Isla’s not exactly skilled or reliable when it comes to taking photos 😂 I was honestly SO nervous setting it up in public because I always worry about people watching, judging me or thinking I’m being cringe 😂 Luckily there was hardly anyone around, so I managed to get some cute content without feeling too awkward! But as I took my photos, as first I was checking to see if anyone could see me, too nervous to prop it up, but I told myself “I’ll never see these people again” so set it up even with butterflies in my belly. Some people did see but smiled as they passed and some also stopped to take their own photos & even asked me if I could take some for them. This reminded me of one of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt this year: It’s okay to be cringe! & It’s okay to set up my little tripod to take photos. Without doing this, I wouldn’t have had the brand deals, PR event invites, collaborations, gifted products & amazing opportunities I’ve been blessed with without taking all my photos & sharing them on social media. Worrying & feeling shy wouldn’t have got me anywhere!! So if you ever feel silly or cringe taking photos, making videos or doing something you love because you’re worried someone is watching… JUST TAKE THE PICTURE 📸 Be a little cringe. Romanticise your life. Wear the outfit. Make the video. Do your thing 🤎✨ Chances are, you’ll probably never see those people again anyway! 😂 Don’t let the fear of looking silly or cringe stop you from creating memories, being creative through photographs or going after the things you want. When you get an alert that the Northern Lights are visible - you HURRY, grab your coat & camera quickly, get in the car, and drive to the nearest darkest area with the least light pollution that you know!! Still pinching myself after the most incredible evening celebrating the launch of @avaire.official 🖤✨ The clothing collection was honestly incredible. Every piece felt so premium, luxurious and beautifully made, with such a sophisticated and elegant feel. The quality was amazing, so flattering, comfortable, lightweight and supportive, with gorgeous figure-hugging and sculpting fits that still allow you to move freely. What I especially loved was how functional and versatile the pieces are. Avaire really feels like the perfect balance of style, comfort and performance. Designed to move with you rather than restrict you, whilst still looking effortlessly chic!! It’s the kind of clothing you can genuinely live in, whether you’re working out, stretching in a Pilates class, heading for coffee with the girls, running errands or dressing up for an occasion! The pieces feel practical and look so stylish ✨ I also had the pleasure of meeting the founder, @alex__burden who is honestly just the loveliest person 🥹 It was so inspiring hearing about her vision for Avaire and all the incredible ideas she already has for future collections and brand events. You can truly see how much passion, love and thought has gone into creating this brand. I have to admit, I had the biggest imposter syndrome walking into the event. I genuinely didn’t know why I had been invited and kept wondering “Why the hell am I here?” 🥹 But I feel so incredibly blessed to have been included and to have shared such a special experience celebrating the launch. It was truly an incredible night, and I’m so excited to watch Avaire flourish and grow!🤍 This is only the beginning of what was once an idea in Alex’s mind and has now become a dream come true!
