Det er med stor glæde at vi nu kan offentliggøre modtageren af Ebba Gregersen og maler Arne Petersens Boliglegat! Mød billedkunstner Louise Hammer.

Louise Hammer (f. 1993 DK) er baseret i København. Hun er uddannet MFA fra Konsthögskolan i Malmö og modtager af Edstrandska stiftelsens stipendium (2021). Nylige projekter og udstillinger inkluderer JAI Institute for Artistic Practices (ES), "Hypokeimenon" på Hovedøya Kunstsal (NO), "Nor do we say our lover is a metaphor, You dummy" på Heerz Tooya (BG).

Hammer arbejder ofte med objekter, arkitektur og infrastruktur, og er interesseret af hvilke påvirkninger og effekter disse har på de personer som enten befinder sig i dem, eller benytter sig af dem. Hendes praksis udfolder sig bredt indenfor skulptur, installation og video.

“Jeg ser frem til at bo i et hjem som er udtænkt til en kunstnerisk praksis, og at på sin vis komme tættere på Arne og Ebba og deres historie, igennem en bygning. Det lægger sig tæt op af mine interessefelter inden for mit eget arbejde, og jeg er spændt på at se hvad det skal udvikle sig til i atelieret.“

An object can remain structurally unchanged while the space around it changes. Its meaning, function, and perceived value can shift according to the person, situation, and response.
This is where the architecture of things begins: in the relationship between an object and the responses it produces. Structure influences behavior. Behavior produces fiction, and fiction can begin to shape the space in which we understand something as real.
What happens in the space between giving and receiving, absence and presence? What charge is generated there, and how does it build?

The works in Doubles each have their own connection to the act of recording, registering, and representing physical and fictional spaces, and how these spaces overlap and intertwine with one another. The exhibition contains moving images, sculptures, prints, paintings — and ends with a performance by Tringa Gashi on the 11th of October.

We hope to see you there!

The exhibition is kindly supported by Københavns Kommune

Please note that the event is hosted in a basement, and there is no wheelchair or disability access, as the only way to reach the venue is via stairs. by @loumuu
