good morning from the image maker’s paradise that is Spirit Halloween capitalizing on the collapse of Rite Aid, the (once in a lifetime?) experience of flying home next to a cloud text message, & the reproductive cycle of cacti :*

I had a big birthday this past virgo season & my gift to all of you is this quote from my dad :* by @loutandon

I’m internationally touring for the first time as creative director (+other roles). it’s so fucking cool to hold the vision @daya & I came up with & show up to venues around the world & bring it to life with the space & tools they give us. Cloning & running our bespoke lighting rig with new fixtures each city is like a cool hard math rodeo every day (s/o to The Daya Lighting DepartmentTM with @jeeeleean & @bharveylighting my amazing special teammates). Our show 2 nights ago in Shanghai gave me chills all over my whole body, even thru my camera. Shooting that night felt like I was trying to catch the moon’s reflection in the river in a bucket or something. Sounds like in a bad way but I mean that in a good way—the gravity of the in-person magic or something—threatening to bring me to tears, my camera just skimming the top. thankful to the whole team supporting us taking this show overseas, this run thru China has been so special <3 by @loutandon

Photo my dad took at our sold out show in Chicago 🩷😭 I have so much to share but as I prep for my last time building these lights & running this version of the show today I need to say how proud I am of this team, these shows, and how grateful I am to be creative directing (and running our lighting rig that started as a drawing of mine so many weeks ago!!).

Watching @daya & @seevaldrum give it everything they’ve fucking got every single night on stage through my camera is magic and a huge honor 💖 Words cannot describe how awesome you guys are and your unbeatable musical chemistry ⚛️

So grateful to @coliesaw for leading us fearlessly through every single fucking problem & for mixing such a great show every night 💘

So grateful to @benicewithannie for taking care of our energy, being a light & driving us everywhere safely 💘

Thank you to @0ephemera for designing & building the touring flower props that bring our world to life💘

Thank you to @bharveylighting for the amazing light programming & insight 💘

Thank yous to @a__eliz & Conway for managing from afar💘

Thank you to @_devonspence for turning around the content we send you from the back of the bus everyday 💘

Thank you to @joosebocks for all of the support behind the scenes & on merch leading up to this run💘

THANK YOU to every friend who came to see us this run, your familiar faces were such a light each night 💘

& thank you to every fan, especially the ones who painted their faces, got their nails done, dressed up in their best florals, you guys brought this world to life 🥹🥀 taken in Chicago, IL by @loutandon
