Really starting to feel like autumn now, isn’t it… 🍂

Hitting the studio hard now, with the 2027 release schedule almost full month by month. I’m really hoping this next chapter elevates both me and LOVAT to the next stage.

Loads of studio content to come, and I can’t wait to regularly share the behind the scenes of what I hope will be some really exciting successes.

For now, here’s my biggest inspiration behind the tunes right now … my little family, being outside, and my little best friend Zuko 🐾

I feel like my music took a real turn over the last year or so. I’ve started putting much more focus into good health, being outside, and appreciating the small fruits of life.

I’ve always found massive social settings quite difficult, so the party culture that comes with electronic music has sometimes been something I’ve struggled to draw inspiration from in the same way as others.

But through my recent productions : the big breakdowns, beautiful melodies and long compositions , I’ve really started to pinpoint where my inspiration actually comes from…

Just life itself and all it’s little things x by @lovatmusic

5 YEARS OF LOVAT! 🎂

5 years!? Absolute madness.

It’s officially 5 years since I first got behind the decks playing under @nielhartley & @sami_calypso for York’s very own @calypso__uk

At first I was a bit reluctant to post this out of my own pressure to always be better, release more and improve my music under an arbitrary scale of where I should be; formulated by my own mind.

But, after flicking through 5 years of something that has taken over my whole life it’s quickly come to me it’s not about that, nor is it why I do or got into music in the first place.

I first started DJing after not being able to go to Medical School due to extremely ill mental health. I was recommended DJing, or learning an instrument to actually combat auditory hallucinations I was frequently having and load and behold - it worked, helped and changed my life.

Then came the next 5 years. The music I’ve made, gigs Ive dj’d and studio sessions Ive had are just the surface of this game to me. Music these last 5 years has shaped my whole life, my experiences, my circles and the paths it’s lead me; even in my day to day job career path. I have been so lucky to have travelled the world through music, met some of my best friends who I call family now, and even met my life partner through it

Yea, didn’t make it as a doctor, but who would have thought what was just a coping mechanism would generate the best life, people and experiences I could possibly have asked for, all through making a racket with finesse.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my journey so far, this game and this scene is what gives me purpose in life and I couldn’t have wished to be involved in anyhing better.

Love you all x

🏆 “Sheffield Wednesday” still top of the Electronica Releases charts

Here’s a quick fire 3 questions about the project whilst getting the steps in. There is definitely a lot behind this fantastic project and I’m still made up to be a part of it and its successes.

Big ups to everyone still buying and playing the records and keeping the project at #1 😎
