Agghh look what I found on fb from my dancer days!! 😭 This piece was so 🔥🔥 Sybarite circa 2009 or 2010 I think?? The 1 time it was at BB Kings in Times Square. These rehearsals were when me and @melissoull first met! Happy Mother's Day 🌷
Had such a beautiful day with my little ladies (even if Delilah found something to complain and whine about 80% of the time 🙄 lol). I'm channeling Raye and am in my retro girl era 💁🏻‍♀️ 👗 lol (and manifesting a trip to the Amalfi coast with my lemon dress). Cyndia demanded we go to our usual cupcake spot, but I will almost always say yes to @mollyscupcakesny ! Lol

I'm in my British girl era lol (Although, I always have been. Jessie J & Amy Whinehouse have been in my top 10 since day 1). And then came along Raye 😍😍 I don't do concerts if its not a small venue, and even Radio City was pushing it, but I couldnt pass it up. Raye was amazing! And just when I thought I was safe from tears (when am I ever?), I cried 😭 (not shocking to anyone who knows me lol). Her song writing and musical composition are UNREAL. And she had an entire symphony on stage 😍

Jessie J, however, was TRANSFORMATIVE. Perfection. From top to bottom and everything in between! From the intimacy of the small venue; her powerhouse vocals; her improv skills; her witty banter with audience members and comedic skills (no seriously, it was equal parts a concert and effortless stand up comedy); and the EMOTION of it all had me on an emotional rollercoaster! I alternated between crying, laughing, singing... repeat. Lol

Now I just need Olivia Dean to do a venue no bigger than Radio City and then maybe I'd go and complete my British girl tour lol (I loathe an arena 😫) #BritishGirlEra #JessieJ #Raye #Nyc #ILoveMyCity by @love2883

Delilah's 12th Birthday Party. Ramen, cake and slime.. oh my! Super late post but I don't do anything on time. Lol Molly's Cupcakes has the nicest staff ever. They let Del request an artist to play, so she looked at me, then turned to them & said, "Lauryn Hill", and they proceeded to play all of her music 😍 It was Delilah's bday but she chose my music because she knows how important old school r&b is to me 🥰 (the best part is that she knows all the music too and sang her heart out.. LOUDLY lol #ProudMom)

Our wknd staycation/excursions in Newark, NJ lol We had so much fun though. Went to see our favorite magician for a 2nd time with his new tour. We were blown away AND cackling lol It was equal parts comedy and magic. But why trek all the way back home when we can do what we love best: stay in a hotel. And walking distance from the theater at that? Every meal we ate was amazing. Found this super dope spot called The Yard that not only had delicious food, the music was so on point I couldn't focus on eating (they played music from Lauryn Hill's unplugged album. The girls didnt even yell at me while I sang full out. They let me have my moment lol). Even the hotel restaurant was delicious (not the tiramisu). We went to 1 too many cafés the next day, played random board games and then stumbled upon the Museum of Art, and managed to have way too much fun at a museum. Lol we ended it with delicious Japanese food, and our hearts (and stomachs) were FULL.

Boop on Broadway. (373627829 days/months later lol). Saw it twice. First with Delilah and then with Cyndia and @melissoull because if you didn't see this before it closed, you absolutely missed out on an experience!! Cyndia even liked it! (Sidenote: she doesn't like musicals so much anymore and only loves Hamilton, duh, and Mj the Musical). Delilah LOVED it! I was obsessed with it, and to no one's surprise, cried both times. Lol (Delilah using my phone to record and declaring "Mommy, your camera sucks" lol)

Sunset Salsa!! @leonardomedinajr this may be one of my favorite videos of us dancing (I dont have super flappy arms here!! Lol). Thursday Nights are for Sunset Salsa on Pier 76! The humidity was unbearable, but the time and view are always the best! I reconnected with my old friend from Grad school @ms_sbose (havent seen each other since 2018!) 🥰 And then randomly bumped into a blast from the past and former dancing partner @roberttaylorjr! I love moments like that! (I'm a sweaty hot mess in our pic though lol) Swipe for last week's sunset salsa videos/pics (Cyndia even joined, but refused to dance lol) and Lincoln Center Summer for the City pics (had to give the dress some attention because I love it lol).

8th Grade Graduation and off to High School in the fall. 😭😭😍 Yes I am that parent who yells/cheers obnoxiously for my kids in anything they do so don't mind the "woos" lol First year at a new school was nerve racking and I couldn't have asked it to go any better than it did. They both adjusted immediately, have a close group of friends and excelled academically.
