It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved stepmother , Brenda Dixon on June 20, 2026.

During this difficult time, we ask for your prayers, thoughts, and support as our family grieves this tremendous loss. We are still processing and are not capable of responding to everyone at this time. In the days ahead we will be making the necessary arrangements for her home going.

We will share information regarding services and memorial arrangements as soon as those details become available.

Happy 23rd Birthday to my firstborn, my broke best friend, my concert buddy, and the young woman who taught me how to be a mom. ❤️

Chloe, from the moment you came into this world on Juneteenth, you changed my life. You taught me patience, strength, grace, and sometimes how to apologize and try again. I haven’t always gotten it right, but every lesson, every challenge, every laugh, and every tear helped shape the relationship we have today.

One of my favorite things is that we genuinely like hanging out together. We listen to the same music, go to concerts, laugh at the same things, and somehow always end up having the best time. Not everybody gets to say their daughter is one of their favorite people, but I can.

Watching you become the intelligent, beautiful, compassionate, and accomplished young woman you are today has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I am so proud of you—not just for what you’ve achieved, but for who you are.

Happy Birthday, baby girl. Keep shining, keep growing, and keep being unapologetically YOU. The world is better because you’re in it.

Surprised Chloe, well kind of. Flew out to DC for Howard’s homecoming to surprise my baby girl. She said she knew I was probably gonna show up at some point because she kept checking my location and she couldn’t see me. Stalker. Anyhow, day 1 was fun. Ended the day at Howard‘s fashion show. On June 19, 2003 at 6:27 AM I gave birth to a beautiful little girl. Although I was afraid of what was come. Especially her being three weeks early and only 4 lbs. 3 oz. but I was excited. But nothing could’ve prepared me for all the joy and love she was going to bring into my life. My daughter softened me a lot. She made me a mother. So on this Juneteenth I want to wish her the very happiest of birthdays. Today Chloe your 21. You are legally an adult. But I have watched you become a woman over these last 21 years. And I just want you to know I am so proud of you . You’ve accomplished everything you set out to do so far . I can’t wait to see, what your new chapter holds. I know it will be amazing. Thank God for letting me be your mommy I wish you nothing but the best baby girl. Me and your dad love you so much. And I’m sure you see the reoccurring theme of my pictures.
