Psalm 51
What a beautiful scene of a repentant heart. David just committed adultery, and he still takes a step towards God. He acknowledges that not only has he sinned in the flesh but he has sinned against God, his God, that he has loved and worshiped throughout the entire book of Psalm. What a great reminder that you can love the Lord so much and still fall short. God used David, God chose David, God looked after David. And he still sinned directly against God. He asks the Lord to create a clean heart within him. He asked God to reveal the joy of salvation onto him. It is so important to just remember the joy of the Lord. Joy is a fruit of the spirit for a reason. Because godly joy makes us so aware and so grateful for the gift of salvation. Thank God that we serve a God who does not reject a broken and repentant heart. Conviction is GOOD. Being heartbroken over what breaks His heart is a BLESSING. How beautiful is that. To be redirected and redeemed when straying away. Thank you LordšŸ„¹šŸ„¹ā™„ļøā™„ļøā™„ļøā™„ļø by @lovealaana

Exodus 3 is such a perfect example of how the enemy tries to manipulate our minds. In this passage Moses doubted himself when God gave him direction to free Israel from slavery. He began to question himself, ā€œWho am I?ā€ to do such a good thing. God didn’t assure Moses and say ā€œyou are so capableā€, ā€œwho else but you?ā€, ā€œyou are able!ā€
God said ā€œI will be with youā€
Moses then begins to question who are YOU. God replies assuring him that He is Yahweh, the Lord. But notice how Moses first questioned his own identity and then questioned Gods identity. Satan has a way of making us not only doubt ourselves but then begin to doubt our God. It is so important to know who God is because He gives us our identity on a strong unwavering foundation. When Identify is found in Christ it cannot be shaken, because I am not strong, or beautiful, or smart, or capable without Yahweh. He is who makes me everything I am, and He is truly reliable and remarkable and unshakeable. There is nothing better to build on than JesusšŸ’Œ
This is identity, this is Gods grace being sufficient for us (2 Corinthians 12:9) We are not capable, but HE IS. Thank you JesusšŸ™Œ by @lovealaana

Such a great Bible study at bcm tonight!!!
What a reminder that God doesn’t just have a will for the big things but He also has a will for our daily lives. Paul specifically says, be joyful, never stop praying, and be thankful in all circumstances in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

All three of these things work together. Joy, prayer, and gratitude all build each other up. Choosing joy isn’t easy but we have a choice to be controlled by our own emotion or have confidence in the joy of Christ. To build that confidence and trust is where dependency upon Him is so important. A prayer life creates intimacy with God involving Him in your daily routines. The closer you grow to Jesus the more you will begin to love Him and become grateful for all of the ways, seen and unseen, He works in our lives.

Such a simple but beautiful passage. Jesus you are my hopeā™„ļø taken in LSUA BCM by @lovealaana

One of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come at last and to see you. For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.
Romans 1:10-12ā™„ļø
I miss my friends so deeply, and everyday I think about the faithfulness of all the people I met, those who showed up, those who I randomly encountered, those who shared their faith with me, and the full belief that God was working constantly in their lives. I aspire to have as much faith as the people who accepted and embraced a girl from another country who just wanted to talk about Jesus. From the youngest to oldest Jesus was so known, so praised, and so glorified in a way I have never experienced. Not only do I long to be back to tell the good news, I long to be inspired by the belief and faithfulness of the men and women of Belize. There will never be enough time there, and I will never stop learning from the kindness and goodness of their hearts. Ministry is everywhere all around the world, in every nation it is so needed, and as I travel I keep in mind those who have inspired my heart everyday to be more like them, more like Jesus. And I will continue to be eager to not only speak but to hear about the goodness of God by @lovealaana

You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Matthew 7:16ā™„ļø
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23ā™„ļø by @lovealaana

James 1:8
Do you ever notice how chaos comes when you’re (even unintentionally) keeping 1 foot in the door of the world? I’m speaking to myself herešŸ˜…
When you start behaving that way again that you’ve shut out for a while. When you start scrolling too much on social media that you become numb to the sinfulness of what you’re looking at. Maybe when you start following after people that don’t have obedience 1st on their priority list. Somehow we end up on the fence with God. I loved a quote I saw on TikTok that said satans goal isn’t just suffering it’s for you to sin in suffering. We can suffer all day long and still have faith that God will fix it but SIN- is what separates us from God. When we start choosing to forget about God right now and follow what everyone else is doing. Being on the fence.
When you’re on the fence with God, you’re not able to see things from a biblical standpoint. ā€œYou will know the truth and the truth will set you freeā€ those are words of Jesus Himself. So it must be true. But when you add worldliness into the mix you may start confusing what is the truth. You’re on the fence.
That’s exactly where satan wants you to be. he wants to get into your life, into your mind, to cause chaos to confuse what God is trying to reveal to you. There is someone out there whose life revolves around trying to bring you to hell and that’s something I don’t think we think about enough. Having eternal salvation is the easiest thing in the world all you have to do is believe. (John 3:16) But after that let’s take another step and let Him transform you and your life to be an ambassador of Christ. Don’t be on the fence. Satan owns the fence. by @lovealaana

Corinthians 10-11
Our message this Sunday at church was on this scripture and I wanted to read through the whole book of 1 Corinthians afterwards. Today I’ve been feeling conviction over complaining and as I reach this part of the text it’s hitting me soooo hardšŸ˜…
It’s so easy sometimes to become extremely ungrateful and unhappy with what we have. I can definitely say that recently I have probably complained about everything there is to complain about. And when I read this,
ā€œWhatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on meā€
It hits so hard. WHATEVER I am, WHATEVER I have, I only have it by the grace of God— how could I complain?
ā€œFor I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his graceā€
Wow this is crazy to think about. I deal with feeling like I have to work so hard for the things I want in life when it comes to others so easily. Sometimes I forget that through the working I’ve had to say God I can’t do this anymore, but i know you can— and He always comes through for me. It was not I but God who was working through me🄹. And suddenly I’m feeling so blessed again. We so often become numb to the Word of God and harden our hearts. Thank you God for providing a word to help us get out of that mindsetšŸ˜…ā¤ļø by @lovealaana

Might be my favorite verse in the whole Bible. Come to ME, and I will give you rest. Let ME teach you, I am gentle and humble. My yoke is easy to bear, and my burdens are light😭🄹
Jesus you are so good. Matthew is by far my favorite book and reading through it and just reading through all the gospels and seeing the character of Jesus is just so insane everytime. His character is everything I long to be. Every time I am facing hardships I speak this scripture and it is always so healing. Thank you Jesusā¤ļø
