I made this herby oil for a bowl of broth… then started putting it on everything 🌿

You might recognise it from my Brothy rice a few days ago, but this is where it all began. A hankering for tiny pasta swimming in broth, finished with a generous drizzle of herby extra virgin olive oil.

It was even better than I’d imagined. One of those bowls you don’t want to end.

If 20 of you comment ‘HERBY OIL’, I’ll share the recipe 🌿🥣

Growing up with a German father Spätzle was part and parcel of his cooking. In fact on my French/Hungarian side Nokedli was also made with most dishes.

It’s the most basic homemade pasta to make and I’m not sure why but incredibly nostalgic in all the ways. Paired with the most delicious Broth in the world and you have a bowl of magic!

🍚BROTHY RICE 🍅Tomato & Garlic🧄

I make quite a few versions of Brothy rice, but this might be my children’s favourite.

Lucky for them, I’ve been making it since they were old enough to eat it! Over the years, I’ve tried all sorts of flavours, always with broth as the base, and I’ll be sharing those recipes with you really soon.

There’s something else I’ve been quietly working on… 🤫 Leave your email on my website to be the first to hear, and subscribe to my Substack for recipes, kitchen stories and little hints along the way. Both links are in my bio. I can’t wait to let you in on it!
