It started in Medan, when two friends named Arick Ahong and Ais Marciano found themselves drawn to the quieter side of things become @loveaspunishment. The slow side. The dreamy, heavy-lidded, lights-turned-low side.

Their sound lives somewhere between downtempo and dreampop, with traces of madchester’s gentle swagger and the warm hum of electronica. Music that feels like dancing alone in your room with your eyes closed. Unhurried, intimate, completely yours.
