🏰✨ Games Night Recap – Building Our Medieval Towns! ✨🎲

The moment I saw Middle Ages by @hachetteboardgamesuk , I knew I wanted to try it. The artwork immediately caught my attention, but it was the way all the tiles slot together that really intrigued me. 😍

And if you know me, you’ll know I’m always going to be interested in a game where I get to build a city!

Okay… it’s not technically a city I’m building this time. It’s a medieval town. But that still counts, right? 😂🏰

The rules are very simple, which was exactly what we needed after a long day. There are a few combinations to get your head around at first, but you quickly get used to them and before long you’re planning your next move without even thinking about it.

The aim is simple: have the most money at the end 💰

And pretty much everything you do earns you money, with some clever combinations allowing you to earn even more. Of course, once you start spotting those combinations, the competitive side comes out very quickly! 👀

We both really enjoyed it. Although… I’m not entirely sure Luke knew what he was doing for the first 15 minutes! 😂 Thankfully, he eventually figured it out!

A lovely, straightforward game with enough strategy to keep us thinking, and another one that we’re very happy we finally got to try. 🏰💛

🎲 Murphy has been busy again! 👀❤️

He’s been expanding the Love Board Games library with another fantastic batch of games!

🏛️ Hadrian’s Wall – Build and defend your section of the Roman frontier, manage resources and develop your settlement. A brilliant strategic flip-and-write!

🔎 MicroMacro – Grab your magnifying glass and solve crimes across a huge city map. Look for clues, follow stories and uncover what happened!

🐄 Herd Mentality – Think like everyone else! Match your answer with the majority and avoid being stuck with the dreaded Pink Cow! 😂

🤝 Accomplices – Work together, plan carefully and make the most of your partnership… but don’t forget you’re still competing!

📺 Netflix – Build your perfect collection of shows and compete to create the most popular selection.

🐝 Bee Friendly – A colourful game inspired by bees, where you’ll be creating the best environment for your buzzing little friends.

⚔️ Kamigami Battles: Battle of the Nine Realms – Gods and warriors clash in this fast-paced deck-building battle across the Nine Realms.

🌊 Kamigami Battles: River of Souls – More gods, more cards and more battles! A new adventure in the Kamigami universe.

🚂 Boxcars – Build your railway network, connect routes and create the best rail empire.

🗺️ Humboldt’s Great Voyage – Explore, discover and collect knowledge as you follow in the footsteps of Alexander von Humboldt.

🔥 Inferno – Medieval Florence, strategy and intrigue! Compete for influence and manage your forces as you battle for control.

🎲 Murphy is on a mission! 👀

The library needs expanding, so Murphy has been doing some very important research… by watching Theboredgamer’s live auction! 😂

He’s keeping a close eye on the games, looking for some new additions to bring into the Love Board Games library. ❤️

And if you fancy joining him, The Bored Gamer goes live every Wednesday and Sunday, with plenty of games going under the hammer!

Now the big question is… what is Murphy going to bring home? 👀🎲

🦄 Mythic Baths 🛁

This is a gorgeous game where players are helping clean mythical creatures in return for gems (Points) after a certain amount of creatures have been cleaned by a player, the endgame begins and the player with the most points at the end of the game wins! 🎉

In order to clean creatures players must draft ingredients, can treat a guest to some tea, which will prevent other players from treating that guest before you! Or they can clean the baths and get some gems in return! 💎

The gameplay is simple but it is super fun to play, the artwork is exceptional and the vibes are just right! 👌🏻

We borrowed this game from @loveboardgamesuk and are now seriously adding it to our collection premanantly! 🏅

Have you played Mythic Baths? Let us know ⬇️

Spooky Game Night

Forget watching another horror film… 👀

Turn the lights down, grab some snacks and get a spooky board game on the table instead. 🎃🎲

Just remember… some games are better played with the lights ON! 😱
