Our sweet grandson, Kylo Makoa, was born on Boys’ Day. We had hoped he’d arrive on May 4th and joked that “the Force would be with him,” but God had a better plan. Boys’ Day was the perfect day for our little warrior, because from the start, Kylo’s life has been about courage and strength.
He was born with two rare birth defects—esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula. It was scary to hear he would need surgery to survive, but God was with us every step of the way and placed amazing doctors and nurses in our path to repair his tiny body.
Kylo spent his first 34 days in the NICU. He was born at The Queen’s Medical Center and then transported to Kapiʻolani Medical Center. It was an emotional time for our family, but Elizabeth stayed so strong, providing breast milk for her baby boy and never giving up hope.
We also met so many wonderful NICU families along the way, and their babies and families will always have a special place in our hearts.
Since coming home, Kylo has had a few esophageal dilation procedures and will continue to be monitored as he grows. But every day, he reminds us what a miracle he is. He’s gaining weight, eating well, and getting stronger all the time.
We’re so thankful for every prayer, message, and act of kindness from our family and friends. God has been so faithful. Kylo’s life has blessed ours in ways we never imagined, and he’s taught us to slow down, cherish each moment, and hold tight to what really matters.
Don’t take life for granted. Be thankful for every breath, every sunrise, every hug, and every moment with the people you love. Our Lord is good, and we’ll always be grateful for our brave little warrior, Kylo Makoa. 🤙🏽🌺 taken in Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children by @loveconrad1

Iʻm a few days late on posting this—22 years ago, God blessed me with an amazing son, and my heart is overflowing with pride. Hauʻoli lā hānau a me hoʻomaikaʻi on graduating from Kansas Wesleyan University! 🎓🎉

Watching you grow into the man you are today has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Your hard work, perseverance, and determination have brought you to this milestone, and you earned every bit of it. The late nights, sacrifices, and challenges were all worth it.

No matter how old you get, you’ll always be my Jesse boy. I can’t wait to see where God leads you next. Keep trusting Him, walking in faith, and chasing the dreams He has placed in your heart.

Feeling extra blessed this Mother’s Day 🤍
My very first mama day as a tūtū … and watching my Elizabeth celebrate her very first Mother’s Day as a Mommy. I’m so proud of her strength, faith, and love through everything she’s carrying for her baby Kylo Makoa. Tiny but mighty, just like his mommy🥹💙

We’ve been so blessed with the arrival of Kylo Makoa Conrad on May 5 at 6:20 AM at Queen’s. Shortly after birth, he was transferred to the NICU at Kapi‘olani where he continues to be surrounded by amazing care, prayers, and so much love.

Was such a blessing to see everyone out at Mākaha Beach, all pitching in and taking care of our place. So many hands, just showing up with heart—it was really something to see. We even cleaned up our little beach access too… the one I visit almost every day. Thinking of Harley, now with Lilo by my side. Just grateful for this community 🌊🤍🌈🤙🏽🌺🫶🏽 by @loveconrad1

To my beautiful daughter Kyah and my wonderful son-in-law,

Watching you two say your vows was one of the most beautiful and blessed moments of my life. Kyah, from the day I first held you in my arms, you have been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Seeing the woman you’ve grown into and the love you share with your husband fills my heart with so much pride and gratitude.

To my son-in-law, mahalo nui loa for loving my daughter the way every mother hopes her child will be loved. Welcoming you into our ʻohana is truly a blessing.

My prayer for you both is a lifetime of the Lord’s love, faith, laughter, and standing side by side through every season of life. Being your māmā will always be one of the greatest gifts and blessings of my life.

April 29, 2017… in Evans, Georgia, we found our Harley girl 🤍
Rescued off the streets of a small rural town through PetSmart… and somehow, she rescued us right back.

For almost 9 beautiful years, she was more than a pet… she was ʻohana.
She walked with us through every season—
5 years in Colorado,
4 years here in O‘ahu 🌊

She carried us through life’s highs and lows—quiet, patient, always there.
Especially for Darren… his comfort, his shadow 🤍

She found her best friend, her sister in Nala-Lu…
and now, I know they’re together again. No more missing each other 🐾

I’ll miss the little things the most…
the sound of her nails clicking down the hall,
her tail wagging when we said “wanna go bye bye?”
our walks to the beach… just us and the ocean breeze 🌊

Yesterday, Kyah created a song…
a celebration of life—of our furry baby, of our journey,
of the bond we share with our pets that is like no other…
a true blessing to experience 🎶

March 21, 2026… we laid her to rest.
But a love like hers doesn’t leave… it lives on in us.

Lord, thank you for blessing us with her.

Love seeing good people win! 🥂
I’m so stoked for these returning clients of mine. They just picked up another unit at Makaha Valley Towers, and we managed to walk away with a pretty sweet deal.
The market is always moving, but we stayed on top of the numbers and negotiated this one for $5,500 under asking. Plus, we locked in some solid concessions and got everything closed in just 27 days from the offer being accepted. ⚡️
