This band will forever bring a smile to my face. I’m so thankful for them and that I was even able to make it to this show! If you’ve never seen @thehappyfits, you are truly missing out. I’ve also been following @belmakesmusic for a bit and it was amazing getting to hear & see her talent live! Thank you all for one of the most fun shows ever. Can’t wait for the next one❣️

small rooms. ̶ ̶b̶i̶g̶ ̶ ̶ biggest feelings! @thebandcamino, thank you for such an amazing #TourBeforeTheTour. I got to see a band I absolutely love play intimate sold out shows while reuniting with old friends & meeting new friends! an unforgettable weekend of delayed AND almost missed by 30 seconds buses because of @jefferyjordan, @jefferyjordan cutting in line right in front of me, but also @jefferyjordan being a total sweetheart ☺️ I am so lucky/honored to have been there for the first show and the second for my “hometown” show. Happy New Year post about one of my favorite days of 2024! Best friends, best music, best vibes. I couldn’t get rid of @subradioband even if I tried [I would never ;]] and over the past year I’ve gotten lucky to know @doublecampmusic & now they’re stuck with me. Plus I got to meet up with some of my other favorite people & it made my heart so happy. Can’t wait for more reunions in the future! DC³ [SD x SR x DC] takes on Nashville!? Gotta give a huge shoutout to @altbloom for not only being an amazing friend, but also for bringing all these beautiful humans into my life. I want Camp Bloom to go on for forever! I’m so lucky that I had friends I’ve never met in person come to the DC show last year so we could meet & that I was able to fly out to SF to surprise everyone. When there’s happy tears, you know it was a success. every time I listen to @mehromusic I feel like my heart grows and collapses at the same time. like when something hurts in the best way possible - which especially happens when I get a feeling of nostalgia or watch something so deeply poetic that I can’t explain how beautiful it is. that’s the feeling his music evokes.

knew this was going to be one of my favorite shows before it even started. because of the music & because of these lovely human beings who each gave something so special to the music & whole experience. 🥰

At the beginning of the year I saw @crystalcasinoband for the first time and then met them for the first time at another show when someone in the crowd came up behind me and said ‘I like your tote bag’ [I was repping TCCB & I think it was @jordan.mullaney. lol] It was kinda crazy because it felt like we had already met & known each other for a long time, so I’m really happy to have them in my life now.

Some of you know that this year I went on some concert cruises, attended radio shows & pride events, saw musicals & a play with a live singer, and aside from all that I went to tons of “regular” venue concerts. I decided I wanted to keep track for fun and didn’t know how to count the festival ones, so I did it like this. Of all those “regular” ones, looks like I went to 154 concerts this year! This is a record for me & it’s just super exciting even if I don’t reach it again next year. Some people may think I’m crazy or not understand it, but as cheesy as this sounds - concerts are my happy place. I’ve made the best friends in both crowds and bands and it’s helped get me through some really tough times, especially healthwise. It may be putting a toll on my fake hip and lupus/arthritis, but just imagine the happiest person and know that in these moments that’s me. I absolutely love getting to support my favorite people and I hope they appreciate that as much as I appreciate them.

Honestly couldn’t be happier that my final show for 2023 was seeing some friends play a sold out show at @theatlantis_dc! @peterstevenz @jordan.mullaney @jarrodrhendricks @jmamlin22 thank you for an incredible night. Just putting this out into the IG universe for good luck. ❤️ to sign this unofficial petition to convince the universe I need a ticket and m&g with 4 of the best bands ever. Sometimes a holiday show lineup hits real good notes, but not usually all those iconic high notes we crave, so whoever made this happen did amazing and this is why I love you @dc101radio.
