Some sessions just feel like a date night with a camera tagging along 💁🏼‍♀️ Riley and Tristen met on a cruise years ago, and after nine cruises together, it’s safe to say adventure is their love language 👏🏼 They wanted a session that felt like them, so we wandered through St. Augustine, grabbed gelato, chased the sunset, and let the evening unfold naturally!!!!

@rileyymcbride and @tristen_gaskins are genuinely the sweetest couple 🥹 and we had so much fun gallivanting around St. Augustine with them!

We’ve been married for over 10 years, raising 4 wild kiddos and running a business together for 5+. It’s been messy, beautiful, exhausting, and the best kind of adventure. ♥️ We moved to a new state (Hey hey Florida!!!), found new views, and still somehow end up laughing through the chaos!!

Building this business side by side has been one of our favorite parts of marriage. It’s not always easy, but it’s ours 🥹 and it’s built on love, trust, and a whole lot of coffee. Thanks for being here and following along as we chase what we love most together 🤍

Some couples just start feeling like friends, and Kenzie and Sean are definitely two of them 🫶🏼

We’ve had the sweetest opportunity to photograph these two through several different sessions, and getting to know them a little more each time has made this engagement session that much more special. There’s something so meaningful about being invited back to document different chapters of someone’s life, and we don’t take that lightly. The prettiest photos from this session happened when they stopped worrying about the photos! 🤍

We had the gorgeous architecture, the dramatic dress, and a veil that deserved its own moment. But my favorite part? Watching these two run around, laugh, and make an ordinary afternoon feel like something straight out of a romance movie. THAT is the sweet spot. The best wedding details are the ones that need a little backstory 👀

There are details that are pretty because you loved them, and then there are details that make you immediately go, “okay wait, you need to know the story behind this.”

THOSE are so fun to photograph!

The drink with a very specific reason behind it. Something borrowed from someone you love. A tiny reference to how you met. A family tradition your guests have seen a hundred times but nobody else would think twice about!

Not everything at your wedding needs a deeper meaning. Pick the orange tablecloth because the orange tablecloth is freaking cute. But when you do have those little details that mean something to you, tell us the loreeee. We want to know why it’s there so we can make sure it becomes part of the story we’re documenting.

Your wedding will not be less elegant because you added color.

Somewhere along the way, “elevated wedding” started becoming synonymous with removing every color from the room. And listen, we love a creamy neutral moment too, but color can be SO freaking good.

The orange taper candles. Amber glassware. Green patterned linens. Tropical fruit tucked into the tablescape. None of it makes this feel less sophisticated. It gives your eyes somewhere to go and makes the whole thing feel layered, intentional, and actually memorable. If you love color, USE IT. You do not have to trade personality for an elevated wedding. 👏🏼

Your wedding day shouldn’t feel like an 8 hour photoshoot 👀

You can want the editorial portraits, the styled details, the cool flash photos, AND still want to actually experience your wedding 🙏🏼 both things CAN be true!

You shouldn’t have to choose between beautiful photos and being present. We’ll step in when the light is too good not to. We’ll give direction when you need it. We’ll make something creative out of the details you spent months choosing. But then we’re getting out of the way. Because the goal was never to spend your wedding day taking photos. The goal is to have a wedding day worth photographing!!
