🇱🇻 As an international school, ISR deeply values Latvian traditions. Being ranked among the Top 5 schools in Latvia for knowledge is a testament to our commitment to this beautiful country. We were truly honored to be met by the President of Latvia at the award ceremony.
A huge thank you to our incredible students and teachers who made this achievement possible!
P.S. We are determined to bring that owl to the ISR building next year!

It’s been a Halloween-filled week at the International School of Riga! 🎃

Our Primary School got into the spooky spirit with a Spooky Showcase, bringing together students and staff to share in all the fun with amazing performances!

And on Halloween Eve, many of our families headed to Ķīpsala for the community’s Trick or Treat event. 🍬 So many fantastic costumes, familiar faces, and plenty of treats along the way! Some of the costumes were truly one of a kind. 👻

A big thank you to everyone who made this Halloween week so much fun! 🧡

Yesterday, our whole Primary School got to experience something pretty special! 🎶

We welcomed three-time Grammy-nominated children’s music superstar Brady Rymer, all the way from New York, for a live concert just for our students! 🎤🗽

And it didn’t take long for the music to work its magic — our students were dancing, singing along, and having the best time!

We’re so lucky to be able to give our students opportunities like this, bringing inspiring artists and experiences from around the world right to ISR. ❤️

A huge thank you to Brady for filling our Primary Campus with music, energy and plenty of fun! 🎸

What a weekend for the Bears! 🐻

Two days, plenty of goals, and some seriously determined performances on the pitch.

🏆 Primary School Boys — Tournament Champions
🏆 Middle School Girls — Tournament Champions
🥈 High School Girls — 2nd Place
🏆 High School Boys — Tournament Champions, once again!

Our Primary School Girls put up a tough fight against KCL, while our Middle School Boys showed incredible determination throughout the tournament. Their final result doesn’t tell the full story — they battled through some very close matches and gave it their all right until the end. 👏

A big weekend of football, teamwork and Bear spirit. Thank you to our coaches, players and supporters for making it one to remember!

GO BEARS! 🐻⚽️

On September 14, our Primary School students celebrated Roald Dahl Day in the Library!

They discovered fun facts about the life of this much-loved author, listened to some of his stories, and even watched an interview with Roald Dahl himself.

There were trivia questions about his books, and a challenge to guess the meaning of some of the wonderfully funny words he invented!

Matilda, The BFG, James and the Giant Peach and many more titles — our students left with plenty of ideas for their next read.

Because stories matter. 📖❤️

🐾🔬 Our 5th Grade STEM Adventure at Riga Zoo!

The class visited Riga Zoo and took part in an exciting STEM lesson called “How Do Animals Reproduce, Grow and Develop?” 🐣🦁

During the lesson, they:
🔎 observed different animals and explored their life cycles;
🧩 created stories about animal development;
🐾 compared how different animals care for their babies;
🎧 played a game where they tried to identify animals by their sounds;
🦋 learned about complete and incomplete metamorphosis;
💡 discussed how animal behaviour helps their offspring survive.

They had the opportunity to learn not only in a classroom, but also by observing real animals and discovering how they grow and develop. It was a fun and hands-on way to connect what we learn in science with the real world! 🌿

Thank you for this exciting STEM experience! 💚
