Sometimes, you gotta look at yourself through a friend’s “lens” and see what they see in you.

Thank you @rubyreelin for this spontaneous shoot and for seeing me. 🥰

Surround yourself with friends who allow you to be 100% you. Thank you for the support @marlookay !

Some of the best photoshoots are those where you’re told to just be yourself. 🙌🏽

Thank you @eduard5f for this self-love session. Seeing myself through your lens has been an experience. You are amazing! I can not wait for more. ✨

friendship like this…

I’ve gone through a lot of cycles in life. Some of them quiet, some of them falling apart and rebuilding, including friendships.

We knew our first trip was a test. An expectation to not expect. A flexible itinerary. We passed… I’m pretty sure!

In this passadiço, we walked. We sat. We cried. We laughed at nothing. We went silent. Eventually, we transformed…

We’re not exactly alike. We have different histories, different ways of moving through the world. But underneath it, we want the same things. To be seen. To be steady for each other. To keep showing up.

That’s the part people don’t post. It’s not always about the pretty stops, but the VULNERABLE ones. The moment someone says the truest of things, and we are ALL IN.

Friendship like this is hard work. Nobody really tells you that. And you have to choose it again and again. I’m very lucky to have my strong women around me.

It’s so rare… and so worth every effort. ✨

The greatest gift is realizing that you are happy. 🥹

I always knew I deserved to be but I guess I never truly had a picture of what it’s like. Sometimes, I pinch myself because God really brought me here and He exceeded my expectations as He always does. SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED and I am not exaggerating at all. Opened a restaurant with my then boyfriend after being unemployed, worked in the kitchen expo, started a new job, met amazing people, got ENGAGED to the love of my life (like what?!), adopted a puppy and named him Pisco, went places, started boxing and padel, saw the eclipse, and SO MUCH MORE. 🥲🥲🥲

Thankful for everyone who was a part of this past year. Much love to everyone who are rooting for me wherever you are in the world. 🌎

And wow, I did not know life had this much color. 🥹 I cannot wait for what’s next.

I guess this is 37. 🎂 by @lovejoyinlisbon

Life caught on film 📸

The best part about film cameras is you often forget to get them developed. I found one from a little less than two years ago and I had it developed with a new one from a month ago.

How beautiful it is to see how life has turned out through these stills. 🥹

Giving this man his flowers 💐

This man has always pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way possible. Every milestone we have had in our relationship is always something that came out of his brilliant mind. He is a man of action and intention. His actions have always been larger than his words and that has always made me feel safe, heard, and seen. I have never felt this kind of love: one that feels safe and steady but never boring and lacking of surprises.

I have learned to let him be himself because in doing so, he was able to express this BIG kind of love towards me, something he always says I deserve.

Thak you, @the_rebelchef for simply being you. I thought my life has already been pretty colorful but you added so much depth and dimension. We’ve adopted 2 cats, a dog, opened a restaurant together, and I cannot wait to create more and reach milestones together.

So, yes. I say yes and always will say yes to you. ♥️ 💍 by @lovejoyinlisbon

2025 felt personal and it shook every aspect of my life.

I spent all day of January 1st reminiscing the entire year and while this is the highlight, behind all these images and videos were all the other challenges and hardships that pushed @the_rebelchef and I to get to this point and do something that we both love and this time, together.

I have struggled in my journey as a designer feeling like an impostor at times and this project pushed me to embrace it with accountability. But at the very essence of it, reminded me that this is also what makes me truly happy: to create something out of nothing, to use my mind, hands, and my voice.

It took a village to execute from construction to operations. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this and people I crossed paths with. I pray for blessings on blessings over your life. 🙏🏻

I wanted to share a bit more of this project and may it entertain or perhaps even inspire you in one way or another.

As they say in social media, this is my 2025’s plot twist. 🌪️

Here’s to creating more this 2026 🙌🏽

How did we get to December already?!

This is not a year-end review 😂 Just mainly shocked that this year is almost over.

But.. we do what we do 🙌🏽 Life threw some punches but we punched back harder 🥊 by @lovejoyinlisbon

A lot of things have happened this month (and the past months) and I found myself appreciating all the moments in between more than anything else: the pauses, transitions, and interludes. I learned to embrace the imperfect and unplanned moments which is extremely difficult for a Virgo like me but it feels amazing to feel grounded. I am always humbled by the things life has thrown at me and at the same time, my faith has taught me to leap further even when I am afraid.

Oh, August, you have been amazing.

Thankful for the people around me who has shown love and support. 🙌🏽 you know who you are ♥️ by @lovejoyinlisbon

Calma Calma 📍Setúbal

A project I never saw coming. Calma Calma is a fresh pasta restaurant with a mercearia inside—designed to feel welcoming, unpretentious, and part of the local community.

I leaned into raw, imperfect materials—concrete blocks, plywood, microcement—softened with warm lighting and earthy tones. The result is a space that feels both cozy and adaptable, much like the journey of its owners.

Where possible, I repurposed furniture and equipment left behind from the previous business, shaping a design that adapts to how people actually use it. Even just weeks after opening, it’s been rewarding to see the space come alive in unexpected ways.

My hope is that Calma Calma becomes more than a restaurant—a place where food, stories, and laughter are shared.

Swipe to see how it looked like from the outside before!

Come visit @calmacalma.restaurante & @calmacalmamercearia and experience it for yourself, with great food and music.
