I’ve gone through a lot of cycles in life. Some of them quiet, some of them falling apart and rebuilding, including friendships.

We knew our first trip was a test. An expectation to not expect. A flexible itinerary. We passed… I’m pretty sure!

In this passadiço, we walked. We sat. We cried. We laughed at nothing. We went silent. Eventually, we transformed…

We’re not exactly alike. We have different histories, different ways of moving through the world. But underneath it, we want the same things. To be seen. To be steady for each other. To keep showing up.

That’s the part people don’t post. It’s not always about the pretty stops, but the VULNERABLE ones. The moment someone says the truest of things, and we are ALL IN.

Friendship like this is hard work. Nobody really tells you that. And you have to choose it again and again. I’m very lucky to have my strong women around me.

It’s so rare… and so worth every effort. ✨
