The only time I can truly “switch off” is when I am moving.
This is when I get out of my head and into my body. The repetitive nature of yoga lends itself to a moving meditation...so I think less about the actual movements and just allow one to unfold into the next. It really is my happy place! What is your way of switching off or decompressing? Let’s move together this week!

When we test out our limits sometimes we fly and sometimes we fall. But we always learn something along the way! The hardest part is having the courage to try and to take the leap.
*Maybe you’ve been thinking about doing something for a while, possibly something out of your comfort zone but you’ve been feeling too fearful to take the leap. 🏃‍♀️Know that taking that fist step is the hardest part. Until we try we simply can’t predict the outcome... regardless of how much thinking, overthinking and strategizing you put in( I know, I’ve been there)🤯 fear can be paralyzing and inhibit personal and professional growth. So this is your #mondaymotivation to take that chance now!
*This weeks schedule below... it’s a busy one! Hope to see you on the mat, at the barre and on those mega’s! #movemore #takealeap

summer in motion ✨🏃‍♀️✨grateful for the chapter that brought me here and openly stepping into what’s next 🤍 by @lovekarlabel

Supporting our summer intensive dancers goes far beyond the studio, and our Health & Wellness Department plays an important role in helping create an environment where artists can train, recover, and thrive.

As part of our Health & Wellness Internship Program, interns work under the guidance of Director of Health & Wellness Karla Beltchenko and the Health & Wellness team while assisting dancers across our Summer Intensives nationwide. Rooted in Joffrey Ballet School’s commitment to holistic training and whole-artist development, the program provides hands-on experience in injury prevention, conditioning, recovery practices, nutrition education, and mindful movement while supporting the well-being of young artists throughout the season.

From New York City and beyond, we are proud to welcome such thoughtful and passionate interns dedicated to supporting the next generation of artists all summer long.

Our Health & Wellness team brought our Pre-Professional Trainee Program together for a restorative sound bath led by guest faculty member Dyane Tsiumis @dfierce.

Using layered frequencies from instruments such as singing bowls, a sound bath is a guided meditative experience designed to calm the nervous system and support physical and mental recovery. As the vibrations move through the body, they encourage deep relaxation, help release tension, and create space for focus and clarity to return.

Designed as a moment to slow down and reset, this session offered our trainees a chance to reconnect, recharge, and step outside of the demands of daily training. Moments like this are especially meaningful as they prepare to take the stage for their upcoming performance of Continuum: Our Kinetic Lineage.

The pure joy of returning to practice… moving the body, clearing the mind, and reconnecting to your energy again ✨#movewithintention #yoga by @lovekarlabel

Here until further notice 🧘‍♀️🌱🙏 by @lovekarlabel

In our Ballet Trainee Program, this morning began with intention under the guidance of our Director of Health & Wellness, Karla Beltchencko @lovekarlabel.

Through guided breath, focused yoga, and mindful stretching, she prepared our trainees mentally and physically for the demands of their training. Each session creates space to reset, strengthen, and reconnect so they can step into the studio with clarity and resilience.

We are deeply grateful for the care and consistency she brings to our Trainee Programs each day. Thank you to our entire Health and Wellness Team for always making sure our dancers feel supported and seen.
