Here’s a crazy Aussie dating stat:

71% of Australians aged 18–49 say they’ve been ghosted. 👻

And here’s the kicker…

73% admit they’ve ghosted someone themselves.

So basically…

We’ve ALL been the ghost and the ghosted. 😳

And in 2026, ghosting is still the #1 frustration with dating apps, according to recent Australian research. 41% of Aussie daters named it as one of their biggest challenges. (Choosi⁠)

But WHY?

Is it because:
