Today in Washington, DC. Unbelievable that the white nationalists who are marching to “take back our country” are too scared to show their faces, and this woman sits, likely terrified, but head up, proudly facing them. On this important day in our history, it’s time to turn this page. Irrevocably. Undeniably. Forever. Join me and all people of good conscience in sending this abomination back to the trash heap of history.
Incidentally, this picture should win every award for Cheney Orr.

There are conservatively btw 13-26x more illegal immigrants in TX than MN (1.7-2.1mil vs 80-130k based on 24/25 data), and, yes, TX has deported more than any other state, but our ICE numbers and percentage deported are nothing near those of these other blue states. Why is that? When will that change here?
When it does, are you going to just stand by when they start pulling every black or brown person you know (or don’t know) over on the street asking for their papers? What if they throw the woman down on the ground and pull the child away in their bunny hat? or throw a canister of tear gas into the car with a family? Will that be ok with you?
Will you judge me when I stand btw a screaming man w a mask and someone weaker than me on the street or in my office? Will you call me a “radical feminist” and say I got what I deserved? Will that person have recourse in the courts if they are injured in an illegal search or seizure? Will I?
Will that be ok with you when it happens here? To your friends, your neighbors, your family members? To someone you don’t know?
It’s an honest question that we in TX have not had to ask…yet… here in the land of the Second Amendment and “Dont Tread on Me.” Here where every other person is strapped, how many can justify what you saw happen with your own eyes to Alex Pretti, and not think of someone you love in that same situation? Can you (honestly and with deep introspection) look at the way many behaved on Jan 6th at the US Capitol and somehow believe they were patriots who deserved pardons, but think this VA ICU nurse deserved death?
I personally don’t have a problem with border patrol officers and never have (we have family members who are border patrol), but I have a big problem w armed vigilantes in masks who seemingly have no limits on their power over citizens and noncitizens alike. In my opinion, it is past time for all of us to stand up and say “ENOUGH.” by @lovemadle

Loved seeing our Riley Girl this weekend. Visiting her in Miami gave me the shot of my sunshine girl that I needed to start fall off right. I love her and miss her terribly, but I'm happy to see her so happy! by @lovemadle

It's graduation weekend for Kyra.
We're spending family time in ATX celebrating our UT Longhorn! She's graduating with a BS in Advertising from Moody College, one of the top five communications colleges in the United States.
