My love of NYC began the Summer of 2001 when I lived college life to its fullest as a summer intern at a city furniture and design store.

Daily I took it in the beautiful NYC skyline and towers on my commute to work. On June 5th I even stood on top of the World Trade Center alongside the NYPD swat team, who were rappelling off the towers that day practicing for a terrorism attack. That almost seemed laughable to my young naive brain. Wasn’t America invincible?

Fast forward just a few months later and the world watched as the towers fell. The details so horrific they still bring tears to my eyes.

It maybe 25 years later but the trauma is still real. The loss unfathomable.

Sending love to all who suffered and continue to suffer. The skyline maybe put back together but our hearts will never quite be the same.

Iceland. You were a lot. In a good way.

Don’t be fooled by Iceland’s size. It maybe “smaller”. But it is not small.

There’s a lot of nature to see with really long drives to see it.

Worth it? Yes. But prepare yourself to just be chill. You know, the road trip exciting but kinda boring kinda chill. That’s Iceland. 🇮🇸 by @loveofthemagic
