MEET THE MAKER Joining in with #marchmeetthemaker2026 ABOUT YOU/BRAND My name is Carolyne Collins, it’s also the name of my brand 🧡 I am a colour loving, pattern obsessed artist, illustrator and surface pattern designer. I create art prints, original art, handmade cards, illustrate vintage plates and have just launched a monthly art subscription @joyprintclub. I mainly work in paint, pen and ink and collage. Much of my work is influenced by nature and a character…..my two loves, being out in nature just me and my dog or surrounded by my friends and family! I currently sell my prints on @etsyuk @green_pebble_artisans also in 3 lovely independent shops @chirpystore @haddenhamartscentre and @topiarytree. Saturdays you will find me on my regular pitch @elymarkets with a stall jam packed with prints and plates. In the week I can be found pen or brush in hand in my garden studio in the Cambridgeshire countryside or out in nature with my dog Betty and a camera. I upload my nature photos/inspiration here @bettyinthefens so that when those dark nights come I can look back and know that Spring is just around the corner! I have been completely obsessed by art, pattern, colour, drawing for as long as I can remember. I have a degree in Printed Textile Design. I ran my own Print Studio for over 15 years, selling Fashion and Furnishing prints all over the world. Fashion is a crazy fast paced world. WALK TO THE STUDIO WITH ME This is where you will find me today. Along the garden path and into my Studio. My happy place. This was taken last week in the beautiful sunshine after a big studio tidy up! My Studio is jam packed with fabrics, plates, art materials, books, it never stays tidy, although everything does have a home now so maybe just maybe it will remain a little tidier! In Winter the little wood burner is always on and Betty is normally sprawled out in front of it. Summer the door is wide open, I love listening to the bird song. SEPTEMBER The last day of September. Where did September go? It went by in a flash. The Summer for us has pretty much been about kittens. All but one have gone off to lovely new homes. They were a complete and utter joy. I miss coming into the living room and seeing a pile of kittens lounging in the sun but lovely Daisy is ours and she brings all the fun. 🧡Meet Daisy 🧡My regular market at Ely where there is always something new on my stall. 🧡Walks to my favourite spot behind the house 🧡A new rosehip wreath to spruce up the front door by the very talented @pop_upblooms 🧡Lots of new cards, mini collages. 🧡A new card stand for the stall 🧡 Some great commissions this month for which I am incredibly grateful 🧡 Markets at my regular spot @elymarkets and @mabelthebakery 🧡Handdrawn cards, so many new ones 🧡Back to lots of walks with my gorgeous Betty now the temperature has dropped @bettyinthefens Been working on lots of new Christmas too but that I will show you very soon. Thanks to all of my lovely customers for keeping me going, I couldn’t do it without you. Bring on a shiny new month 🧡 by @lovesprint
