First fall ball game at Purdue and the Bearcats came out swinging! 🔥 Cincinnati wins 12-6!

Joe with a solid hit to get things going, then Luke Kosko launched a HUGE HOME RUN to give us the lead! 💣🔥

Da Boogeyman 👻 — Superman 🦸‍♂️ — and Spiderman 🕷️ were putting on a show!

Great way to start fall ball! Keep it rolling, Bearcats! 🔴⚫️

As UC baseball gets back into full swing for the 26-27 season, I was just looking back at Joe’s summer ball season. After getting to North Dakota when his teammates were already 21 games into their season, this kid still managed to pull off some awesome things. While playing in only 36 of the team’s 70 total games, at the end of the season he still managed to be:

1st on the team - runs scored
1st on the team - doubles
2nd on the team – triples
3rd on the team – total extra base hits
1st on the team – walks
6th in all Northwoods League – walks
And too many insane outfield plays and diving catches to count

The best part about looking back at some of the videos from summer ball is hearing the announcers talk about the crazy progress he made by the 2nd half. After being out with an injury for most of 2025, 2026 has been about seeing live at-bats and getting his swing, eye, and timing back. After a rough beginning during his first three weeks in North Dakota, batting just .038 from mid-June until the All-Star break at the beginning of July, he suddenly started to come back full force - doubles, triples, homers, and seeing his average go up daily. Love watching his comeback! Keep putting in the work Joe! Proud of you! by @lovingloans2020
