I was able to celebrate my 2020 graduation 2 years later at the ceremony! The timing allowed for a lot of reflection and growth( at times at the price of pain). I’ve learned (and I’m still learning) not to wait to “arrive” and reach my goals before celebrating myself or finding myself worthy of rest. I’m learning to reprioritize happiness and meaningful connections over what I used to see as success.

All in all, I’m also excited to share that I’ll be a Clinical Psychology PhD Student in the fall! This time, I plan on doing things differently and prioritize working with God to make sure I’m truly happy, authentic, and thriving.

I wrote and created this visual spoken word yesterday called “I Bear Witness”. I know that those who may know me from college may be super confused as to why I’m posting more content related to God. If you knew me, I was always acting up in these streets because I thought that’s where my liberation came from.

Last year, I truly encountered His love and stopped seeing Him as just “Judge and Jury”. Prior to one very life-changing moment, He seemed so distant. It didn’t help that people who were trying to teach me about Him would just talk about hell. They made it feel like this “choice” to follow Jesus was a religious obligation and not a freeing delight. Also, I felt judged by them, but I thank God for the people He put in my life that mirrored His loving character and goodness.

Just one personal encounter made me realize He was always nearby, but I had to open up my heart to Him. I’m currently on a journey to authentically and intimately know Him for myself. My prayer is that you too give Him a chance. Much love ❤️

This is an invitation to the ones who are seeking love and to know what love is! This is my invitation to those who have been hurt, to those who are lost, to those who are hopeful, and to those who are looking for hope. Before meeting Jesus Christ, I experienced pain searching for love and identity in the wrong places. God wants to be your lover and best friend. Accept His loving invitation. It’s sweet to know I am not doing this life alone. It’s comforting to know that everyday I wake up with questions that don’t have answers, but that it’s okay. I have peace that He is guiding me and He is always present. by @lovingly.lo

In 2022: I learned about my limits, my weaknesses, and points of vulnerability. I learned how to seek help and how to say no. I also learned some hard truths about myself. That is that I desire more out of this life and my relationship with God, but my lifestyle and habits don’t match!
