Self-actualization is considered the pinnacle of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. It represents the fulfillment of one's talents, potential, and capabilities. Characteristics of self-actualized individuals, according to Maslow, include autonomy, creativity, a sense of purpose, and a deep appreciation for life.

It's important to note that not everyone reaches the level of self-actualization, and the hierarchy is not strictly linear; individuals may move up and down the hierarchy depending on circumstances and life events. In my head, the goal is self actualization and for me that feeling is when I'm flowing through life completely aware & taking it all as it comes in gratitude. It's when my mind, heart and body is completely in sync (flow, ease, no restrictions)... So, you can imagine how hard that can be to maintain living life lol or to start-- I like to think I can channel this energy through my massages and even through cooking to a degree.

People vary in terms of the importance they place on different levels of Maslow's Hierarchy, and what brings satisfaction and contentment can differ widely among individuals. Some may find their greatest fulfillment in close relationships, while others may prioritize accomplishments, recognition, or personal growth. It's essential to recognize the diversity of human needs and motivations.

Additionally, self-actualization is considered a continuous process rather than a fixed state. Only a small percentage of individuals may reach this level, and even then, it is not a permanent or unchanging state. Maslow's theory suggests that as lower-level needs are met, individuals are more likely to focus on fulfilling higher-order needs, ultimately leading to the pursuit of self-actualization. However, achieving self-actualization is subjective and can vary from person to person.

Which is also why I chose this topic lol-- Mother Teresa: The humanitarian and Nobel Peace Prize recipient devoted her life to serving the poor and sick. Her unwavering commitment to helping others and living a life of compassion is often considered an expression of self-actualization. Something to think about in terms of what I'm going after in a sense. by @lovingmebeforeyou

where the magic happens!!!

i’ve been heavy in the m&k books trying to ingrain some muscles in my muscle memory. i’m glad i have a comfy space to unload & unpack everything.

there hasn’t been much hands on practice as of recently, besides doing reflexology stuff… which i actually like surprisingly lol

it’s interesting how everything correlates to one another. there really is a stem to every “seed”.

there is a lot of depth to our bodies. the trees & oceans cycle through & renew the way we can. as i learn more, there are many things our bodies can do on it’s own to fix itself. or to even help stimulate it to act accordingly without pharmaceuticals.

i’m excited, and very grateful for all my classmates and professors that are with me in the start of my LMT journey. by @lovingmebeforeyou

im doing the same things, but with a twist ;-)

instead of just writing out, 25 daily gratitudes (i heard that’s what the monks do) morning and night, i thought it would be a fun idea to try and spark my creative side. im starting off with a pocket sized journal to start small. every night i will be filling the entire page with doodle gratitudes. so far so good! same goes with getting more into lifting #toughgirlshit #consistencyiskey🔑 by @lovingmebeforeyou

i attended my first cacao ceremony! and yes the hot chocolate did not taste very hot chocolatey lol, more on the bitter side. i did finish it all though? warm & refreshing.

the event itself consisted of meditation, flower observation (a ground technique), singing, connecting with one another and journaling.

the ceremony itself really was beautiful. i noticed i am very shy & reluctant when being in a room with strangers. towards the end i felt more comfortable.

cheers to spring & all the newness that will be brung into this season! letting go of fears & any negative attitudes that are holding me back in my day to day life. by @lovingmebeforeyou
