So enjoying painting this large canvas, very long way to go, but I’d love to finish it for the Thorpe Morieux 10th Anniversary Heart of Suffolk exhibition at the end of November, 27/11/2026 - 29/11/2026. Watch out for details, not to be missed.

WIP, back in the studio after a wonderful week at Artspace in Woodbridge. Long way to go with this one but enjoying every minute, she should be ready for Thorpe Morieux later in the year.#oiloncanvas #colour #design#style #patterncomposition by @lovingpainting

WIP This is a painting I started a month ago at a weekend workshop, Art in East Anglia at Hindolveston,
North Norfolk. I paint very slowly and merely got the mug, back wall, table and kitchen roll in situ. You will realise it is still far from finished, but knows where she is going! The Abstract painting in the background is a couple of layers in and the collaged newspaper will hold some beautiful fresh mackerel that we spied at James Hunt’s wonderful wet fish stall at Stowmarket Ferry the other day.
It’s my favourite thing to do, start my painting and add what is perfect for the painting from daily life. I never arrange a ‘set’ merely have a good idea of my palette and something that has taken my fancy, then build my painting around it. I hope you like it so far, now for those mackerel. by @lovingpainting
