My friend found this sweet baby on the street near her home. She’s hoping to get her hands on it and get it inside to safety and out of the heat. She thinks it might be a girl, but she’s not sure.

Which one of you fine folks would like to take in this sweetheart, either to be their new cat or to provide a safe home while we look for something permanent? That would be a big help.

The @innatlittlewash offers an absolutely perfect meal experience and a tiny something for later too. My friend @elisabethwk dined there last night and left with paper replicas of the inn, filled with sweet treats. I will remember this dinner forever! What a lovely night. by @lovinkat

A while back, I told @04adam23 that I would take him to @ivyrestaurants on Robertson to celebrate when he passed all four of his CPA exams! Well, he’s done with his exams and passed the final one with flying colors. Whew!! The dinner was delicious, but the company was even better. Congratulations Adam! 💕 by @lovinkat

Alfredo, the lodger cat likes to tuck himself in when he’s sleeping. Here is a sequence of images throughout the day of him getting increasingly more covered up. I make my bed so the cats won’t lie on my sheets but that’s all for naught with Alfredo in the house. by @lovinkat

I have a creative project in my head and I’m trying to figure out how to make it work. One of my neighbors knows how to do everything so I consulted with her a few weeks back and she suggested I learn how to silk screen. She recommended the videos on @pigskinsandpigtails to learn how. I can’t recommend these tutorials enough! I’m still working on that big creative idea, but in the meantime, I made this T-shirt of #janeausten with a winky eye and a wry smile to test out my skills. So far, so good.

I have a new foster kitten/cat. I don’t know how old she is, but I suspect that she’s about a year. A friend was in Phoenix for Memorial Day and found her hanging around outside his mother-in-law‘s condo. Neighbors said she’d been tossed outside because she’s pregnant. She was panting in the heat and ravenously hungry so my friend texted me to ask if he could bring her to me. He drove all the way here with her napping on the seat beside him. She is gorgeous, full of love and is as busy as a bee! She settled in immediately without a single minute cowering under the bed. We’re going to the vet on Friday to see if she’s really expecting and to get her in tiptop shape for her babies and her adoptive family. You know I love black cats, but I definitely need to find her a home so please let me know if you’re interested. We’re calling her Marceline. by @lovinkat

I had fun making something I’ve never tried today; stuffed cabbage rolls! I found a recipe and a YouTube video online, which showed me how. They turned out delish! Especially when you heat them up in a skillet with some butter to get a little brown on the outside, and then eat them with a dollop of sour cream! by @lovinkat

Here’s a quick update on Alfredo, the lodger cat. He still likes to be with me, but most of the time I find him on my bed snuggled near my other cats. Not spooning like Elinor and Peggy in this picture, but at least close enough to be ever so slightly touching. You can see part of his back touching part of Elinor‘s back. That’s a lot of progress. He still hisses at her face-to-face, but apparently back to back, he’s OK. And of course that’s the sweetest cat in history in the front – Luisa. by @lovinkat

I’m at Big O tires this morning while Mario checks a couple of dashboard sensors. It probably won’t take long so I’m waiting here with my book. I popped nearby to get a coffee while I wait. That foot in the upper right of the photo belongs to actor Steven Weber. He wished me a happy birthday and we had a lovely chat for a couple of moments. Such a lovely fellow! by @lovinkat

Alfredo, the orange and white cat in the middle of the bed is a lodger. He’ll be with us for a while (we hope!), so it’s important that he learns how to share. He has not been very good at it thus far.

Typically, he jumps on the bed and runs the other guys off, but this morning he allowed Luisa to remain, clinging to the corner of the bed.
