POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I could’ve painted these myself.

But that’s not the point.

These overalls hold more than paint—
they hold confidence, creativity, and the freedom to create without fear of “messing it up.”

This is what we do in class every week.
Not perfect art.
Not Pinterest art.

Real play. Real expression. Real ownership.

And honestly? I think they did a better job than I ever could. 🎨

I wore this at the @craftcationconference and got so much LOVE!! I was like a proud momma wearing my student’s artwork! 💕

Would you wear something your kids designed?

**Idea inspired by @victorialcalk (& @creativespiritpreschool )— loved this concept and had to try it! 💕 taken in Enchanted Elk Grove by @lovintheprocess

A cardboard tube doesn’t come with instructions. I love that about it!

It could become a telescope. Part of a creature. Something that doesn’t have a name yet.

There’s NO “supposed to.”

Just an idea, a little experimenting and permission to change your mind.

That’s the spirit behind Make Anything—something new I’m creating through Lovin’ the Process. And I’m so excited to start sharing it with you!

Join the Make Anything waitlist for upcoming details and to make sure you get in on the limited release beta box releasing in early December! Link in bio 💕 by @lovintheprocess

Sunshine + pumpkins + paint = one pretty perfect day!

There’s something magical about putting out the paint, handing over a pumpkin, and seeing what happens next.

Bold colors, little hands, big ideas, and plenty of creative surprises!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to paint with us. You made an already beautiful day even brighter! 🧡

And a BIG thank you to @momsofelkgrove for inviting me out to their Spooktacular Fall Festival!! And to @southslopewines for the gorgeous location.

Now we want to know… where did all those colorful pumpkins end up? 🎃

Tag @lovintheprocess in a photo of your finished pumpkin. We’d love to see your creations out in the wild! by @lovintheprocess

Okay… I’ve been thinking about something.

What if Lovin’ the Process came in a BOX?

I’ve been playing around with the idea of creating a monthly subscription box for kids who LOVE to create — and it’s still very much in the “dreaming-it-up” stage.

Which means I want YOUR ideas before I get too far into mine.

Parents, educators, grandparents, people who know creative kids… I want to hear from all of you:

✨ What would make a creative box worth opening every month?

- What would you hope was inside?
- What would your kids or students get excited about?
- What would surprise them?
- What would make YOU think, “Yep. This is worth it.”

And even better — ASK A KID!

Ask them, “If a box full of creative stuff showed up at our door, what would you hope was inside?”

Then please come back and tell me what they said.

Wild ideas are VERY welcome.

I’m just dreaming right now…and I thought it would be a lot more fun if you dreamed with me. 💕 by @lovintheprocess

Something new has been rolling around over here…

Meet THE MOTION YARD.

A collection of ramps, gutters, tubes, crates, balls, cars and all sorts of odds and ends with one simple invitation.

Build it. Test it. Change it. Repeat.

I got to get a trial run in with the @elkgrovemomwalk group yesterday and watching the kids take over was the BEST part!

They built. They tested. Things didn’t always work out. They moved pieces, tried something different, worked together, started over—and kept going.

No finished example to copy. No one showing them what to build. Just materials, movement and a whole lot of “Wait… what if we put this HERE?”

A HUGE thank you to @vangowagonco for the incredible inspiration behind this idea. 💕 I saw what they created and knew I wanted to bring this kind of large-scale, open-ended building experience to my community. They have been so helpful in sharing supply lists and details on how to make it work.

And now The Motion Yard is officially joining the Lovin’ the Process lineup!

You’ll be able to find it at Kids Fest @enchantednatomas on Sunday, September 6th. And The Motion Yard is also available to bring to festivals, schools, community events and other gatherings.

I have a feeling this one is going to be a favorite!

Packing up a whole lot of play dough possibilities. ✨

The dough is only the beginning—because changing the tools, materials, and invitation can completely change the play.

I’m bringing all of this with me on Thursday, and I cannot wait to share the ideas, inspiration, and playful surprises waiting inside these bins.

See you Thursday! Grab the details through the link in my bio. 🧡
