0 Portal sculpture addresses one of the most important in human relations, that of human relationships with nature. It presents an aspirational and unifying vision of the world. The viewers are invited to pass through a portal into a house which has always been open, the house of nature, and which is our only true home accommodating all of us without exceptions.
The work was inspired by the façade of an old Brazilian country house and was conceived as a natural energy portal to heighten visitors’ perception of nature's exuberant beauty and its unsurpassed power.
Earth Portal seamlessly unites the inside with the outside and the tangible with the immaterial, making the audience feel interrelated with each other and with the surrounding landscape. The sculpture serves as the threshold of personal transformation and calls into focus the ultimate unity of our existence and unlimited human potential.
Most importantly, Earth Portal evokes the reciprocal sensibility and the dynamic relationships of exchange between the viewers and the natural landscape. It activates the principle of reciprocity in human relationships with nature and with each other, which is probably one of the most important ideas to rely on and to lead us into a future world of equitable and sustainable living on planet Earth.
