LEF004: Mauja For our 4th instalment of the LEF guest mix series, we welcome Perth producer Mauja. The full mix of original productions can be found on our SoundCloud/YouTube. "Mauja has been DJ'ing since 2001, and producing music since 2010. Employed as a Senior Lecturer at SAE Institute in Perth, when not teaching Mauja is continually staying abreast of the latest technology and developments in electronic music, as well as being heavily involved in various musical projects. Influences include a wide variety of sounds and genres from a broad array of electronic music to various metal bands, hip hop, scratch DJ’s, film scores and any leftfield vinyl records collected over the years. Other sources of inspiration come from science fiction, graffiti/street art and anything in between. Expect moody vibes, and a tightly woven schematic of tracks showcasing sound design, groove and heavy syncopation from his sets." by @low_end.focus
THE DEEP END I'm so proud of the launch for this concept! The sound was immaculate, vibes were immense, the low end was nice and THICK. (If you can't feel the sub hit your chest then its not done right) The guitar part was a bit shaky at the start but we got there, the sub likely shook a cable loose 😂 practice makes perfect. Ill post a more polished reel later on but I just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone involved and everyone who came to support, and I look forward to building on this 🙏 by @low_end.focus
