So like, this little documentary was made in 2017 by some RMIT media students. They had a vision to make a documentary about dance and the more they got to know me they decided to direct it towards my journey through dance and depression. They did a beautiful job of capturing the person I was at the time.

However, this has always been a weight on my shoulders. I’ve always wanted to share this but I just could never do it. I just didn’t want to identify with the person who went through depression and I didn’t want to be viewed with a sap story.

It’s taken time, but I think I’m ready to share this to mark a change in my understanding of myself. Where I look at my experience through depression as a strength and something I should be proud of overcoming.

I want to start focusing on the empowering facets of my experience. There’s many new goals, not just for this year, but for the rest of my life and I am determined to make moves with courage. This is one of those moves.

One of our goals is to make dance accessible for everyone! So we have added more absolute beginner classes for people to get their dance journey’s started in an easygoing learning environment.

NONSTOP GROOVE
We’ve also added a new class for those who just wanna work up a good sweat in a fun way! Learn a super easy routine and we’ll just keep rockin’ it.

All classes are Hip Hop, Street Dance, Club Dance based movements.

Morning classes commence April 21
Evening classes commence April 14
