September was a great reading month for me 👏

I’m really in my romance era and loving it!

The Dead Romantics, Beach Read, and Dolly All The Time really hit the spot for me this month. Highly recommend checking them out if you haven’t already!

I tried to get into Emma M Lion and maybe I’ll keep going with the series at some point but for now, it just wasn’t what I needed, though it was quick and I liked the writing.

I snuck in a ~75 page Freida book while I was nap trapped. I wasn’t sure where this short story was going, but Freida is the queen of twists.

Lastly, I finished the tandem read of Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn. I’ll put my thoughts into a full post but wow wow wow - onto Kingdom of Ash🫡 by @lowpressurepages

Hanging onto summer for a couple more pages with my last two reads☀️

I just finished Dolly All The Time, as a certified eldest daughter I really resonated with Dolly’s need to take care of everyone all the time.

I don’t love a fake dating situation but I appreciated that these characters were in their late 30s.

I’ve been getting more into romance lately and this was overall a great read.

Diving into The Shampoo Effect now before fully shifting into fall and spooky season✨

My BOTM haul📚

I paused my subscription for a bit because my physical TBR is truly never ending and I’m running out of shelf space 🤷‍♀️

But, I couldn’t pass up this adorable “I brought my book” tote and a few bonus books.

Mood reader vibes📚

From romance, historical fiction, and literary fiction to fantasy worlds with swoon-worthy book boyfriends, twisty thrillers, and mysteries…

You can find a little bit of everything on my shelves, and honestly, even I don’t know what I’m going to pick up next.

Stick around to see what I grab next, it might just be your next 5 star read👀🫶⭐️ by @lowpressurepages

My ✨correct✨ Throne of Glass reading order and I will die on this hill (unless you convince me otherwise😅)

Assassin’s Blade FIRST. Yes, not everything will make sense right away, but I actually love that. You pick up little nuggets of information as you go, and then later books give you that “WAIT…so THAT’S what that meant” moment. Plus, once I’m invested in a story, I don’t want to stop and go back to a collection of novellas.

And then…TANDEM READ. Always. 👏🏼

Empire of Storms + Tower of Dawn together makes the final stretch of the series so much more fun, and honestly, less intimidating. Especially when you realize the last three books are all 650+ pages, with Kingdom of Ash coming in just under 1,000. 😅

But this is Booksta, so obviously there is a “correct” answer and everyone else is wrong 😂

Soaking in the last of summer & soaking in these little sandy toes. 🤍☀️🌊

A few beach days, a good book, and trying to slow down enough to take it all in.

Currently reading The Dead Romantics and very much enjoying a few quiet pages whenever I can get them. 📖

What are you reading as we head into September?

In August, I found my way back to books. 📚

I read 4 books this month: one 5⭐️, one that came very close, and two that were just good reads but didn’t quite leave a lasting impression.

I’m currently in the middle of three books, so September is already shaping up to be another good month of reading. And honestly, I’m not mad about it. 🥰
