Anniversary giveaway number four, and this one we get to do with friends.

Up for grabs: the Tombstone mug, sculpted by LowTiki for Dynasty Wholesale, and given away here as a collaboration between the three of us.

It’s a three-sided tombstone, porcelain, 15 ounces, about five inches tall. Each face carries a different name, and each name belongs to a different classic horror film:

Cyrus Zorba, from 13 Ghosts, 1960.
Frederick Loren, from House on Haunted Hill, 1959.
Millicent Carewe, from Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, 1920.

Two of those were William Castle pictures, and Castle was the greatest showman in the business. For House on Haunted Hill he rigged a skeleton to fly out over the audience on a wire. For 13 Ghosts he sold a ghost-viewing filter so the crowd could choose whether to see the spirits. A bar that hands you a drink in a carved mug and a flame is doing the same thing he was: giving you a night you can’t get at home.

So credit where it’s due: sculpted by LowTiki, made by Dynasty Wholesale, and we’re proud to put our name next to theirs.

How to enter:
• Follow @lostroutestiki , @dynastywholesale88 and @lowtiki
• Like this post
• Comment with which of the three names you’d want carved on your own mug

Entries close Sunday, October 12. One winner, 21 or older, US only. We’ll announce the winner right here.

Mahalo, and good luck.

The (almost) finished sculpt for my Halloween mug this year! My original plan was for the Fiji Mermaid but the sculpt got damaged & this sculpt was closer to finished so I rolled with it. Fitting to have it photographed in my graveyard of unfinished sculpts.🪦

Ok, so the people have spoken! And I am updating the listings in the shop. I have only done this once before with the Toucan mugs and it worked well.

I am bumping down the available edition for the Golden Yellow & Midnight Blue colorways to runs of 15 each.

The full color option will be available for a limited time as an open order. I will close it after 3 weeks, or up to 80 mugs. (I am one woman in a small studio with poor spatial awareness & time management skills. I am not biting off more than I can chew.)

This fits everyone’s needs, there’s still very limited colors for those who like a rare mug, an option for those who aren’t up to the challenge of speed racing to checkout while still having an idea of what the edition amount will be.

Full color! 🌌

The Velvet Painting mugs will be available for order this Friday the 18th 5 pm PDT.

I am still also working on a new colorway of the tiki bar mug. I haven’t been happy with any I have done so far but I feel close.

Next up is blue!

I was going to have these as very small editions but I will up the number a bit since there seems to be a lot of interest in them.

Velvet Painting Mug! Underglazing this one is a bit of a learning curve since I have such a specific look in mind. But I’m really excited with how it’s turning out.

First pull was easily a success! This sculpt gave me a hard time but the form of it is perfect for a mold. 🌴

I will be starting glaze color testing this weekend.

First up, Bats are all finished and are being lovingly packed & will be shipping out over the week. I have new colors I will share soon and get listed this week also, along with new Tiki Bar mugs.

Speaking of the Tiki Bar mug. I sculpted that one because of my love for a vintage mug form, and a nod to my beginnings doing velvet paintings. After staring at it I was like what if a mug was just a velvet painting? And viola! Here she is! I believe the mold for this one will be started next week and I can’t wait to get my grubby paws on one so I can start playing with the glaze.
