My new favorite mug ☕

I never use the handle on my mug, so I made a new one, with a notch for a little support for the hand. I love it so much that I'm on a mission to replace ALL my mugs with them (eventually...) by @lsd_ceramics

A realistic look into my home studio...I'm no longer a basement pottery gremlin, we're a garage pottery gremlin now!

My puppy kids keep me company and mostly stay out of the way. Humbled to make art next to my Halloween decorations and random electronics that my husband collects.

I spent the last week on vacation with my family in the beautiful St John and serendipitously found a pottery studio while grabbing coffee one morning. I picked up a unique, gas-fired porcelain mug that, to be honest, I might display on a shelf instead of using because it's SO CUTE.

Here's to beautiful pottery across the globe and hopefully getting a chance to come back!

My face when I pulled this one out of the kiln: 🥰

When working with marbled clay, you don't get to see the depth and saturation of the colors until the final glaze fire, so it stays as a fun ✨mystery✨ while working on the piece. Even more of a fun mystery...I mixed all of my leftover clay scraps to make this beauty. The final step was just transferring a super droopy pothos to this new planter with drainage to bring her back to life.

Lil' Rainbow Cups!

I tried out a new underglaze technique of watercoloring on these mini propagation planters. Produced a result that I absolutely love and will be using again.

These were made with holes in the rim so that they can be strung up into a hanging propagation station for some plant trimmings 🌱

RIP to the fourth lil planter that I dropped unloading from the kiln 🫡

We're back! I had a super busy December, followed by a very restful January catching up on some much needed relaxation time and firing a huge backlog of old work, including this guy that I made over 4 months ago 🙈

Ceramic take-out container with hand-dyed sage Standard clay and a clear glaze. I love how there's some marbling going on in the undermixed parts of the clay (what we call a happy accident). Thinking about drilling a drainage hole and turning it into a cute lil planter...

happy new year!

my christmas break was anything but restful, with lots of traveling and craziness, so I am still recovering and resting. my brain needed a break!

i'm slowly working on bringing some of my new ideas to life, can't wait to get some new stuff up in my shop in the next few weeks ✨ by @lsd_ceramics

last time throwing in 2023!

last week I was fighting with some hard clay on the wheel and it aggravated my tendinitis. that, paired with working on the computer for a living, was a badddd combo and i'm ✌️-ing out of throwing for the rest of the year.

this weekend I trimmed and glazed some pieces, and now getting ready to head into hibernation mode. happy holidays! by @lsd_ceramics
