POSTS STORIES REELS

Friday night was unreal. 🖤

The Reytons played the most spectacular show to an absolutely rammed Coop Live and I watched with complete awe.

It was an absolute honour to be invited up for a song and to witness the immense (and I mean IMMENSE) energy of a Reytons crowd. 😮‍💨

Some of you might not know this but Jonny and I go back a long way, even pre X-Factor and pre-Reytons.

We both worked on Fargate in Sheffield where I sold baby photoshoots and he sold his CDs.

We both spent a time of our lives convincing people to stay and talk to us, where it was easy to feel quite invisible 😂.

Well, I have a very, very special love for how many people see Jonny and the lads now. ✨

It is the most warranted and deserved type of being seen.

I know how much love, time and energy has been poured into writing those electrifying songs and building the absolute family that is The Reytons and their unbelievable crowd.

There’s nothing inorganic about this band and to have seen it grow from the ground up is like something out of a film.

(Matter of fact, who’s gonna play who in the Hollywood version?! 🎥😂)

I had a tear in my eye watching this show happen and, like I say, to be involved in any kind of way is a complete privilege.

Thank you for having me, boys!!! 😭
But most of all, thank you for the absolute inspiration.

To me and so many others.

We’re all Reytons aren’t we?! 💫

Happy Halloween from all 8 legs in the Spraggan household 🕷️🎃 by @lspraggan

I have become somewhat of a side-quest seeker over the last 7 years.

I always had an interest in doing stuff, but it ramped up when my mornings were fresher and I became a bit more about the day time than I was about the night.

My friendship circle changed a bit, as a lot of my relationships were held together by drinking and, by accident, I ended up making some incredible friends from these random side quests.

Hobbies aren’t exclusively for people who are sober, I just know I wouldn’t havent found the joy that I get out of these things if I still drank.

I’d love to know if there’s anything new I should try!? 👀 by @lspraggan

I have been asked so many lovely questions over the last week or so, I am so grateful for to everyone who has been so kind and thoughtful. 🖤

It’s hard to put nearly 15 years of mental health into a few slides but the most important thing to articulate is that:

it was a very rocky journey.

And the journey is never over.

Creativity has been a lifesaving outlet. 🌨️

I told the story in more detail in my book and have written many songs about making my way through life, and hope to continue for the rest of my life.

As always, I’m so thankful for the support from both old and new followers.

Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to know, as you might have noticed, I’m an open book 😂💫 by @lspraggan

I think a lot of people assume I stopped drinking because of what happened in 2012.

That’s wrong - my drinking got far worse after that.

It was a problem before then, but it was an utterly self-destructive path afterwards.

I struggled to walk into (let alone sleep) in hotel rooms and, as a touring artist, that was a problem.

The only way I could do it was to switch off my brain entirely.

So I did.

That kind of drinking created more potentially unsafe situations, and it earned me a reputation - it assisted the one that had already been assigned by the press.

I had become utterly miserable, my life had fallen into something I didn’t want, and I knew there were only a few ways out.

Sobriety was the only positive one.

In the end, a complex PTSD diagnosis and years of therapy (EMDR specifically) was a huge part of the reason I could recover from that part of my life.

But most of all, I thank sobriety. 🖤
I couldn’t be more glad I didn’t just survive, but thrive.

Sobriety is my superpower, and since 2019, I have created a life I am immeasurably proud of. ✨ by @lspraggan

Thank you all for your lovely messages and comments today, ya legends 💖.

I’ve been touring for the last 15 years and it’s taken me to some incredible places.

Here’s a bit of me…

(but honestly it’s mostly dog, fighting, detecting and camping content 😂)

I hope you stick around!! 🎉 by @lspraggan

@lspraggan spent just three weeks on Series 9 of The X Factor in 2012, but the events surrounding her time on the show would go on to have a lasting impact on her life.

In this powerful conversation, Lucy opens up about the real reason she left the show. by @lspraggan

This week, We Need To Talk did something we’ve never done before.

We brought together three former contestants from The X Factor for our first ever roundtable conversation, Full Circle.

Lucy Spraggan, Jahméne Douglas, and Myles Stephenson were on The X Factor between 2012 an 2017, and for the first time, their getting candid about what that experience was really like.

These are three people who went on the same journey, but came away with very different experiences. And as always, there’s so much more to their stories than we ever got to see.

Just got home from the most incredible weekend of metal detecting with the most incredible people. 🪙

Genuinely, if you asked me what my perfect weekend looks like, it’s a lot like this one just gone.

Camping, cooking, laughing, eating, talking and being outdoors - proper wonderful stuff. ✨

This is only a part one of pictures and this is a shorter caption because I’m propping my eyelids open with matchsticks to write this 😂💀

Thank you so much @wanderingwiltshire for the most cup-filling weekend and for such a brilliant group of people. You really smashed it.

Before you all think I’ve completed detecting THOSE GOLD COINS ARE NOT MINE 😂😂😂
The finds are from the whole gang.

Though yesterday I did have 5 Roman coins and a hammered coin, pics to come!! 💖

Anyone I’ve not tagged, please forgive me, I’m falling asleep 🥹😴
