A series to reject racism through the shared global language of food ❤️. So grateful to have friends from around the world, it comes with knowledge, kindness and delicious food.

For episode six one of my nearest and dearest friends Pervin @p.h.px transported me to Cyprus (North side) for my first Meyhane night, which is like a pub/ tavern night. Hosted by @lta_uk who run a traditional folk dance group and organises events like these throughout the year! This was such a fun way to explore my friends culture and appreciate the warmth and liveliness of the Turkish Cypriot community in London ❤️.

When the bride and groom are apart of a Turkish Cypriot folk dance group.

Of course they were going to dance at the wedding.

We were honoured to perform with them and wow their guests we wish Ayben and Erhan all the happiness in their next chapter together.

You see the polished performance… but you don’t see what happens while we’re waiting for the bride to arrive 😂💃

From rehearsing steps we already know, to taking far too many photos, to whatever this trend is… there’s never a dull moment with the LTA Girls. The guests see a few minutes of dancing…What they don’t see is all the laughter, friendship and memories made behind the scenes while we’re waiting to perform!

@ctcauk ile Türk Kıbrıs Festivali’nin kulisinde ☀️

4 yaşından 35 yaşına kadar 30 dansçıyı 30°C sıcakta sahneye hazırlamak LTA için tam bir maceraydı!

Büyük dansçılarımızın küçük dansçılarımıza yardım etmesinden, anne ve babaların destek vermesine kadar hepimiz gerçekten büyük bir aile gibiydik. ❤️

Getting 30 dancers, aged 4 to 35, ready to perform in 30°C heat was quite an adventure for LTA!

From our older dancers helping the younger ones get ready to mums and dads lending a hand, we truly felt like one big family. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came together and helped make this day so special. We are so proud of you all.
