Over the weekend, I was honored to join the American Muslim Heritage Celebration along with Richmond Mayor Danny Avula, Senator Schuyler VanValkenburg, and Delegates May Nivar and Charlie Schmidt. I enjoyed the opportunity to speak with a large and diverse gathering of participants who showcased the rich history, cultures, and contributions of Muslim communities across Virginia. by @ltgovhashmi

The excitement and pure joy on the faces of children as they joined El Librotazo: The Big Book Party was thrilling to watch this afternoon. Hosted by Chesterfield County schools, the big event invited children and families to celebrate literacy; every child was able to select 5 books each for their very own personal library.
