POV: Your bridle clocks out mid-run, but you still have a job to do. 💀🐴🔥

THE BRIDLE SAID “I’M OUT”… DANICA & VICTORIA SAID “WATCH THIS.” 🤯🔥

An entire Derby pattern, an unexpected bridle malfunction, and a 212 ON THE SCOREBOARD! 🏆

YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS STUFF UP! 😭👏

At the Arizona Reining Horse Association’s BEST OF THE WEST, my daughter Danica and her incredible mare Gunnagetaruby (“Victoria”) gave us a run we’ll NEVER forget!

Competing in the Non-Pro Derby & Non-Pro Youth Derby, Victoria’s bridle came off mid-pattern, but Danica stayed composed, trusted her horse, and finished the entire run! 🥹❤️

THE COMPOSURE. THE CONNECTION. THE TRUST. 🙌

As a mom, I couldn’t be prouder! Watching Danica’s horsemanship shine through in a moment like this means more than any buckle ever could. ❤️

And Victoria… this Gunnatrashya mare really understood the assignment! 💅🐴

A HUGE thank you to Luis, Chloe, and our entire LT Quarter Horses family for the endless dedication, training, and love you pour into our horses and rider! We couldn’t do it without you! ❤️

THE BRIDLE LEFT THE CHAT… BUT THE TRUST NEVER DID. 🔥

👇 HORSE PEOPLE… COULD YOUR HORSE DO THIS?! 😱

EL MARIACHII 🎸
A Vintage Smoke x Spooks Gotta Gun

CRHA Challenge open futurity-first time showing and so proud of his performance. It is always extra special to get to show a 3yr old that you breed, raise and train from the very beginning. To train and to show a prospect, as a trainer you’re not just showing a horse but a dream. A dream that begins with an idea, an investment and support from people that fully trusts you to make this dream come true. THANK YOU @frankie1p for giving me the opportunity to be part of this dream of yours and to fulfill Don Panchito last wishes of seeing his colt in the showpen. I am beyond proud of this colt and excited for his future.

THANK YOU @laurenashley_media for capturing a special run to me and turning it into an amazing reel.

EXTRA DIRRTY 🫒

Draw 1 to kick off the Open Derby at Best of the West, marking a big score that kept us in championship contention until the very last horse showed.

I couldn’t be prouder of “Olive” and the performance she laid down, earning a very respectable 3rd place finish! 🥉

Thank you, @scfarris, for your continued support and for being part of the journey. It means more than you know!

So proud of my Dani girl & all the hard work she continues to put into every ride! Not every run goes exactly as planned, but every ride is another step forward. 🖤

Starting colts isn’t about how fast you can make them go—it’s about how slow you’re willing to go.

Especially with a thinker and reactive, running-bred horse, patience builds confidence. Give them time to understand, time to process, and time to trust.

Slow doesn’t mean less progress. It means building a foundation that lasts. 🐴🧱

THANK YOU @jessica_m_talbot for giving us the opportunity to start your babies.

Coming back from an injury is never just about getting the physical part back. It’s about rebuilding confidence, trust, and the mindset to perform under pressure.

Olive walked back into the show pen at the high roller derby felt that pressure again, and gave me everything she had. We came home with a check, which is something to be proud of—but I know there’s more in her. With “olive” It’s not the physical ability she lacks. It’s learning how to handle the mental pressure of the show pen that has made me approach her training differently. Sometimes the best thing you can do is slow down, listen to your horse, and build confidence one ride at a time.

I’m proud of how far she’s come, and even more excited about where we’re headed.

Would like to thank dr moss of @temeculacreekequinevet for helping rehab olive and @manotass_inc for making the right changes to keeping her sound, and of course @scfarris for her trust and support in getting olive back in the show pen.

Now it’s about finishing these derbies on a positive note, continuing to build her confidence, and letting her know that she belongs right where she is.

Reining is one of the most disciplined equine events there is. It demands patience, consistency, feel, commitment, and the willingness to keep working even when things don’t go your way.

And that’s what I admire most about my non pro rider Laurie.

She keeps showing up. Even after the bad rides. Even when things don’t feel right. Even when it would be easy to get frustrated or walk away, she finds a way to turn it into something positive and come back ready to work.

As her trainer, I’m proud of the progress she’s made in the arena, but even more proud of the person she continues to become outside of it. Always showing up to cheer other teammates and always supportive. I’m proud to be her trainer, but even more grateful to call her a friend.

Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep believing. The good rides mean more when you’ve earned them through the hard ones.

There’s something special about watching your rider step outside her comfort zone and realize she’s capable of more than she thought. 🤍

First time showing in Vegas, no expectations—just a willingness to learn, experience it, and give it her best. But the real accomplishment wasn’t a score or a placing. It was having the courage to put herself out there. And now she’s coming home with something even better than a result: more motivation, more confidence, a purpose and an even bigger desire to be better for the next show.

That’s what this journey is about. Step outside your comfort zone, learn from every experience, and come home hungry to keep improving.

Proud of you @ckprestine Vegas was just the beginning. 🖤🐴

Roping prospect with the breeding to back it up!

Bred by the legendary Pitzer Ranch and proudly owned by Ken Negrete. We’re putting a solid reining foundation underneath him before he graduates into the roping arena.

The goal isn’t to rush the job. It’s to build a horse that’s broke, confident, and ready to go to work. 🐴💪🏼

Slow & Steady…

One of the most rewarding parts of starting a young horse is getting to watch the pieces come together over time. We started this colt from the very beginning, and it’s been so rewarding to see him develop into a more solid, confident, and secure young colt.

THANK YOU @millerrachel1227 for giving us the opportunity to take our time, move at his pace, and build a foundation the right way. Sometimes the best progress comes from slowing down, listening to the horse, and letting them gain confidence one step at a time.

Watching “Spencer” become more secure in himself has been pretty special. Proud of where he is headed and excited for what’s still to come.
